This scent features a super amber base, reminiscent of Acqua di Parma, but within seconds it shifts to mint with notes of cinnamon and pepper, plus a touch of rose that is simply enchanting. I didn’t expect this; it blends Western perfumery with Oriental houses. It has immense body, depth, and brilliance. It is spectacular and leaves no one indifferent. The trail and projection are top-notch; it is incredibly warm for cold weather due to its density, offering luxury quality and amazing refinement. I see it as unisex, though more suited to men in their thirties. Ideal for formal or semi-formal occasions, cold afternoons, rainy days, or night outs; you will surely leave an eternal olfactory mark. Scent: 9/10, Trail: 8.5/10, Projection: 9/10, Longevity: 8.5/10.
Enclave by Amouage is a monster, the best from the house, and it has everything. The blend of mint, cardamom, and cinnamon is narcotic to my nose, with a very gentle resinous and spicy base. Its evolution only balances the chords without taking away from the initial charm, which I absolutely love. As Landberk70 said, it is very luminous and warm, giving a super cosy vibe. I believe in temperate or cold climates it is a distinctive scent to make a presence, so the claim about olfactory memory is spot on. Good performance overall, perfect for unisex wear and to enjoy for a lifetime. Frankly, I love Enclave. Rating: 10/10.
Enclave is simply a fantastic fragrance, the best of the house and a scent that has it all. The blend of mint, cardamomo, and cinnamon is narcotic to my nose, with a very pleasant resinous and spiced base. Its evolution only balances the accords and doesn’t make anything of its opening charm disappear, which I appreciate. Landberk70 already said everything and I only complement that I also find it very luminous and warm; it gives a cosy vibe and I think in temperate to cold climates it’s a distinctive scent to leave a unique mark, so the olfactory memory aspect seems accurate. Good performance, perfectly unisex and to enjoy for a lifetime; I frankly love Enclave. Rating: 10/10.
What a delightful fragrance. Although I won’t declare it, it carries oud, as expected from the house. The mint and cardamom are very distinctive, creating a fresh oud that I find brilliant; others are usually warm and for winter, but this is light enough for all year round, yet potent and persistent. The best part is that the mix holds up through the middle, leaving residual oud at the end, unlike others where the main note disappears quickly. It vaguely reminds me of Versace Eros, but swapping vanilla for oud; a curious coincidence. It has narcotised me; I haven’t stopped smelling it all day, what a treat. I have already grabbed a decant to see if it suits me; if it does, I will buy the bottle.
What a delicate fragrance. Although not declared, it carries oud, as expected from the house thanks to the mint and cardamomo, which are very distinguished. It’s a fresh oud, a brilliant concept since ouds are usually warm and heavy, very winter-like. Although I don’t see it for the beach, it’s light and fresh enough to wear all year round. It’s quite potent; it doesn’t leave you. Something very much to be appreciated is that with ouds, usually you have oud + something at first and then only the oud remains; here, the mix holds throughout the middle, with the residual oud appearing only at the very end. It vaguely reminds me of Versace Eros: swap the vanilla for oud and you have something very similar. It has narcotised me; I couldn’t stop smelling it all day, what a delight. I’ve picked up a decant to see if it’s wearable for me; if it is, I’m definitely taking it.
A disappointment. At first it’s original and attractive with mint, cardamomo, and cinnamon as the stars. But afterwards those notes fade and it leaves a generic Amouage aroma, perhaps with a bit of labdanum. I just made a comparison with Boundless and indeed, after an hour, the scent is quite similar, although Boundless does retain that tobacco and blood orange.
An interesting scent but one that doesn’t seduce me much. It opens mentholated, very aromatic, I’d say medicinal. Spices are detected. What could be attractive at first settles into a generic aroma as it dries. Yes, it feels deep and dark. But in my understanding, the longest-lasting part tells me little. I also perceive a juicy cherry in the heart, but it’s a fleeting nuance. It seems like an unfinished fragrance. It starts well but then, nothing. That said, it lasts a long time. I can still detect it beyond 10 hours.
A very changing fragrance. It opens with a slight mint that doesn’t say much to me, but as it dries, it smells very elegant. In the dry-down, there’s a slight frankincense, cinnamon, patchouli, and I think woods, although they aren’t declared. A good perfume. The longevity is high, over 12 hours, and the trail is good; if you ask people as you pass by. In general, a good perfume. High price, as with everything from the house. Rating 8.5-10.
It smells different as the hours pass. It starts with a touch of soft mint that isn’t overpowering, but as it dries it shines with elegance. In the base, there is incense, cinnamon, patchouli, and woods that are not listed. It is a good perfume. It lasts a long time, more than 12 hours, and leaves a trail if you ask for it. Overall, very good. High price, as is typical for the brand. Rating: 8.5-10/10.
Enclave is smoked mint. It’s the main accord from the opening to the final dry-down. It starts with mint sprinkled with spices that confirm its oriental character: pepper, cinnamon, and cardamomo alongside the mint create an anise-like illusion. Then the frankincense and resins hold the mint, giving it a smoked character, a bit dark but not too much, designed for daytime. In the development, the woody base becomes more noticeable; light leather and amber add body and depth to the mint. It’s very long-lasting and potent (perfectly 12 hours). If you overdo the sprays, it can become overwhelming; at first it doesn’t seem potent, but it builds up quickly, and if you overdo it, it’s too late, so it’s better to wait a few minutes before being light with the spray. The downside: on clothes it lasts too long, it’s sticky (even after washing it still smells), and after 24 hours it leaves a strange vanilla-like dry-down, probably due to some synthetic molecule I don’t like. But with care not to apply it on clothes, I can’t find any other negatives. In summary, it’s a fantastic smoked mint signature fragrance from Amouage.
Enclave by Amouage smells of smoked mint. It is the main accord from the opening to the dry down. It begins with mint sprinkled with spices that confirm its Oriental character: pepper, cinnamon, and cardamom alongside the mint create an anise-like illusion. Then the incense and resinous notes sustain the mint, giving it a smoky, dark touch, though not too much; in my opinion, it is for daytime. As it develops, the woody base becomes clearer (light leather and amber that add body and depth). It is very long-lasting and potent (12 hours is perfect), but if you over-spray it becomes overwhelming; at first it doesn’t seem strong, but it builds up quickly, so if you have overdone it, wait a few minutes before spraying more. The downside is that it sticks too much to clothes; it is sticky (even after washing it still smells), and at 24 hours it leaves a strange avo-cocoa dry down, likely due to a synthetic molecule I don’t like. But if you take care not to apply it to clothing, I find no other faults. In summary, it is a fantastic smoked mint fragrance with the Amouage house signature.
I’m a millionaire and I don’t need anything else. What is Enclave? It’s a classic mansion covered in ivy, with a wet, lush garden after the rain, at dusk. It’s on a hill, with stones and wild bushes, where a stream passes. We feel like walking knowing we have everything, enjoying nature with a good wad of cash and an expensive jacket. Enclave screams Amouage; it has its stamp. The mint gives a fresh, realistic touch, while the vetiver and patchouli add the vintage and earthy elements, and the frankincense adds sophistication, luxury, and mystery, with the delicacy of rose in the background. The opening is sparkling and ozonic, like a breeze on a cold day. Then we light the fireplace and warm ourselves. The blend reminds me of licorice. Daily use? Yes, perfectly. Like most Amouages, it evokes someone from an office or bank. It clings well to the skin; what lasts the longest is the earthy part and the dark frankincense, very velvety. The projection isn’t bad, and there’s no need to overuse it. The longevity is correct. For the price, I expected better longevity.
A pleasant surprise. I am not a mint person… if I want mint, I eat a chewing gum. BUT this is something else, friends. It is a marvel of mint. It is very well crafted; it does not smell like mojito or chewing gum. It is a masterpiece. If you like the note, do not think twice, buy it. If you are not sure, give it a chance. It is worth it. It starts spicy with cardamom and the star is the mint; the heart has incense in just the right measure to add depth, and the dry down is dry and earthy with vetiver and patchouli. It is almost medicinal. Exquisite.
A total pleasant surprise. I’m not a fan of mint notes; if I want mint, I’ll eat a chewing gum, but this is something else, friends. A genuine masterpiece. Here, the mint is perfectly crafted: it doesn’t smell like a mojito or chewing gum; it’s a work of art. If you like the note, don’t think twice, dive in. If not, give it a chance; it’s worth it. It’s a spiced opening with cardamomo, the star is the mint, a frankincense heart in just the right measure to add depth and solemnity, and a dry, earthy dry-down with vetiver and patchouli. It’s almost medicinal. Exquisite.
A scent very similar to Xerjoff 40 Knots; I’ll continue testing it but it follows that line.
A versatile Amouage fragrance that truly wins you over with time. At first, in decant, I thought it was just a decent menthol without soul, but after the second try, that mint (more toothpaste-like than in Beach Hut Man) hooked me. It’s a brutal signature scent with character and sophistication that doesn’t overwhelm. It’s not just mint; the combination with frankincense (very wearable here), patchouli, vetiver, and rose is magical. The leather note is barely noticeable, very subtle. It’s one of those fragrances where the more you wear it, the more nuances you discover; from basic to complex. It conveys elegance and presence without giving too much. Due to its density with the frankincense, I see it as ideal below 18 degrees. It lasts a long time, between 10 and 12 hours, present but without dominating the surroundings. That balance between presence and discretion is what fascinates me most. Absolutely recommended. I give it an 8.5.
