What a stunner! A beautiful jasmine from the start, with fresh and luminous notes that drive it forward. The jasmine lingers until the end, followed by resins and amber. Magnificent longevity. Perfect for a summer night if you want to charm someone.
I’m absolutely smitten. A beautiful jasmine from the very first moment, with fresh and bright notes. The jasmine lasts until the end, then resins and amber take over. Magnificent longevity. Ideal for a summer night if you want to charm someone.
I’m in a bit of a mess with this perfume. I don’t dislike the notes, but it smells like an air freshener I used years ago. Anyone from Spain will remember it; I’m not sure if they still make it, but it’s the jasmine air freshener from Hacendado at Mercadona, and I don’t want a €365 perfume to smell like a €2 air freshener 🫠. I’m sorry, but the worst part is that I was given a sample, I’ve heard it many times, yet I can’t stop thinking about that damn air freshener.
It’s got me in a bit of a pickle: I didn’t dislike it, but it smells like an old air freshener people used in Spain. I’m sure Hacendado at Mercadona made it, that €2 jasmine one, and I don’t want a €365 perfume to smell like that 🫠. The worst part is I was given a sample, and although I’ve heard it countless times, I can’t stop thinking about that damn air freshener.
Jasmine, orange blossom, neroli, and cardamom. Floral with a green and powdery touch. Smells like a garden in summer at sunset. Feminine, elegant, and versatile. It’s like Creed’s Spring Flower. Refined floral and feminine, a classy perfume.
Ashore sounds linear to me, with warm jasmine as the protagonist, a salty touch from ambergris, and a spiced hint of turmeric. It’s a very clean white floral, ideal all year round. It sometimes reminds me of Tom Ford’s Jasmin Rouge, though I prefer that one for the ylang. It smells good for the first few hours and lasts about 8 hours on my skin. It’s lovely, but I wouldn’t buy it. Pleasant: 8/10 Interesting: 7/10 Versatile: 8/10 Original: 6/10
To me, Ashore seems linear, projecting mainly warm jasmine, slightly salty due to ambergris, with a spiced touch of turmeric. Despite being warm, it’s a very clean, white floral that works all year round and for any occasion. Not being identical, it sometimes reminds me of Tom Ford’s Jasmin Rouge, though I prefer the latter for the ylang. Good projection at first, lasting about 8 hours. It’s lovely, but I wouldn’t buy it. For our first date, if possible, I would use Ashore by Amouage. It’s a delight: upon spraying, pure, sharp white jasmine dominates, mixed with lots of turmeric and cardamom, creating a green and silky sensation. The pepper, rose, and sandalwood blend with it to enhance the scent, while the base of ambergris with a salty touch and unctuous incense completes the composition. It has huge projection, in bright and sharp bursts, totally unisex though varying between feminine and masculine. Longevity is eternal. At first, it impacted me so much I hesitated, but within minutes it took my head; it’s a beauty and a safe buy for jasmine lovers, as it’s in my top 10.
#February3 My perfume for the first date: Ashore by Amouage. When my husband and I plan to go out, I choose it because I love it. It’s delicious; upon spraying, a pure, sharp white jasmine stands out with turmeric, tonnes of it, and cardamom. The jasmine is so strong it smells green and silky. The pepper, rose, and sandalwood aren’t noticeable separately, but blended together to enhance the jasmine. In the base, ambergris with a salty touch that I’d only imagined, alongside the unctuousness of frankincense. Huge projection, in bursts, sharp and bright, totally unisex, sometimes feminine, other times masculine. Longevity is eternal. A true beauty and a safe buy for jasmine lovers. At first, I found it so strong I hesitated, but within minutes it took my head and senses away. It remains in my top 10.
