Personally I think it lacks a trail, it doesn’t radiate much, but it does stay quite a few hours on the skin and on clothes. It has a rich blend of vanilla and sweet touches with a citrusy breeze sensation. At first the citrus and fresh tones stand out, but then, once it settles on the skin, what stands out most are the sweet tones. It’s a fragrance for afternoon or evening use, youthful but not too much, and it performs well.
The classic Eros: simple, vanilla with that touch of ambroxan that makes it stand out. It’s very common and overused; I consider it full-on party wear or for projecting confidence, not recommended in excessive heat. In my case, it gave low performance compared to others. Longevity: 6 hours, Projection: 1 hour, Trail: quite strong. Personal rating: 9/10. I don’t mind it being overused, I think it’s an exquisite fragrance, I give it 9 for the low performance it gave me.
I was dying to try it and the truth is I absolutely loved it. It gives a feeling of sensuality and comfort that few achieve. My experience is that you can wear it day or night, but its heart and base notes are more noticeable in the afternoon/evening. The longevity is superb, the trail too, and anyone who gets close will fall in love (for example, when greeting with a hug). Although it’s a very common perfume, I don’t think you should leave it aside; it’s versatile, smells great and has a decent longevity. Projection: 7, Longevity: 9, Scent: 7, Versatility: 8. Total: 7.7.
Rich and simple perfume, delicious and good, but nothing special right now. Very common and easy to smell on people. In its time it was quite good, but currently it’s not worth it for the price and what it offers. 7/10 just for the nostalgia of being the perfume with which I started my collection.
It’s literally a teenager in a bottle: loud, sweet and fresh, ready to tell the world that you’re here until you’re exhausted… the rest.
It could be one of the most used, but it’s one of my favourites. It’s too rich and I absolutely love fragrances with a minty opening. For some reason, the EDT version lasts a very long time, which I adore.
I can’t stand the smell, perhaps it’s that vanilla’s fault.
With this I started my collection and it was the first to spend my money, costing $85 back in 2021. It’s the king of night outs, ideal for cold weather and evenings. It feels a bit burnt, but I love that scent, especially that vanilla that drives me crazy. My girlfriend adored it and it’s the one that has given me the most compliments. Perhaps this winter I’ll buy another bottle, maybe the EDP. If you like vanilla and a sweet perfume that fills you with compliments, this is the one. You won’t regret it; it lasts and projects well.
Very rich and the imitations don’t even come close to its heels. It dries down to a soft, different vanilla; the lime and apple are beautiful, not overpowering like in others. I loved it, but I wouldn’t pay for it. I inherited it and although it lacks power, it makes up for it with quality and a unique scent.
Always wanted this, and finally I have it… but watch out, I think they reformulated it. In 2021 it had more projection and power than now. I don’t know if they did it to the EDT to push the EDP or the Parfum. Nevertheless, it’s good for spring, summer or going out partying; Versace Eros EDT never fails. When I finish this one, I’ll switch to the EDP. Rating: 8.5/10
Eros is a youthful and super pleasant combination of vanilla, tonka bean, mint and apple that creates a ‘doughy’ aroma and attracts compliments. Sometimes it’s criticised for being very common, but its profile remains current. Its performance isn’t the best, but there is an EDP version if that’s a problem. In short, it’s easy to like, attractive and I recommend it for those seeking something versatile and charming.
Excellent perfume that I used daily. The vanilla and green apple notes stand out a lot. The disappointment is the longevity; being an EDT, it lasts very little for its quality. Literally, a $20 perfume lasts longer.
I was expecting to try it, I had expectations. Did it meet them? Yes, but only half-way. Rich aroma, poor longevity and sillage.
I’ve had this fragrance for six months and, although it’s not bad, it doesn’t quite suit me. A synthetic vanilla with cedar predominates, smelling like that 80s room freshener called ‘Vanillo Cotorro’. It lasts about 4-5 hours. Although it’s a men’s fragrance, I feel it’s unisex. I only recommend it if you like pure vanilla; for women, something more feminine would be Vanilla Fields by Coty.
Very rich, but it doesn’t even last two hours.
The scent is brilliant, but the longevity is a disaster: the sillage and projection are almost non-existent. Note, I tried the EDT, not the EDP, and although the aroma is top-tier, it’s gone in nothing.
Versace Eros EDT: A perfect fragrance for parties and nights out. They say it’s ‘overdone’, which was true years ago, but nowadays that means people don’t seek it out and it’s very rare to smell it. It’s for party use exclusively; I don’t see it anywhere else. The scent is a very minty, sour vanilla due to the green apple, smelling like mint gum but with sweet vanilla. Box: simple, thin cardboard, good design (8.0). Bottle: square, dry green glass, in my opinion one of the best, that sculpted Medusa and the cap that supports the weight (9.5). Atomiser: good, distributes the perfume well (9.0). Price: a bit high, I bought it for $40 on a tester, normally it ranges between $60-80, so (8.0). Longevity: many say it was eternal, I don’t know about that, but for me it lasts a fair 7 hours on skin, the seventh hour is noticeable and then it disappears (8.5). Projection: incredible, a metre and a half for 90 minutes, then it becomes intimate (8.5). Sillage: noticeable for the first two hours wherever you go (8.5). Compliments: it gets compliments but it’s not its strong suit, you’ll surely get a few but don’t expect it every time (8.0). Final rating: 8.5. Conclusion: If you’re looking for something for a party, it’s perfect. If you like mint, buy it; for the price you can find better options, but it remains a good fragrance ONLY FOR NIGHTS AND PARTIES.
They’ve taken the potency away to give it to the EDP. That’s as simple as that. Killing your own fragrance and continuing to sell it (as happens with La Nuit de l’Homme, Bvlgari Man in Black and others from designer houses) should be illegal, but it turns out to be less ethical than sending an email asking for cash claiming you’re an African prince in trouble. I think consumers are quite neglected with these reformulations: when you sell something with the same brand, the same name, the same price and the same packaging, it should be the same as before, not the absolute rubbish they churn out every time. I ask myself: what are so many reviewers on social media for if then (almost) none of them warn about these things? Anyway… Interesting aroma (though less balanced than the EDP and Flame, which are better in every way). Longevity and projection almost non-existent. Don’t buy it. Aroma: 8. Projection: 5.5. Longevity: 3.5.
It smells quite good, I don’t understand all the hate, besides it’s true that women love it.
If reggaeton were a perfume, it would be Eros. Most people love it; it fits perfectly into a daily routine without you having to think, pure dopamine that slips easily into any nose. It doesn’t raise eyebrows or generate questions, it just sits there in the background. It recalls adolescence and is its natural habitat; it’s appropriate for school or first outings with friends, but it does feel a bit immature. I don’t see anyone over 25 wearing it regularly, but it’s not bad. There are stages in life where you simply seek pleasure and quick acceptance, and in that regard, it’s unbeatable. That’s why it receives so many compliments and is copied by cheaper fragrances, as its formula is simple with notes everyone likes: a blue-vanilla scent. The longevity felt normal, about 5 or 6 hours with good projection for the first hour, nothing extraordinary, but it meets the designer standard. Don’t use it in extreme heat because the vanilla is synthetic and can smell like plastic when mixed with sweat; use it in temperate climates. In summary, it’s not a bad perfume, it’s pleasant and appropriate, you’ll receive compliments by the bucketload, but its greatest virtue is its flaw: being a formula made to please and so successful, it suffers from being generic and smells immature. Some people get tired of it quickly and lose interest. There are those who simply want to smell good and this smells good, so it’s enough for them, but men seeking personality and depth will never be satisfied with something like Eros.
Review from a casual consumer: Honestly, I don’t know where they get all these ideas; it’s a very simple and tasty vanilla scent. It’s that with a green and fresh twist. The apple and lemon prevent it from being too sweet; the geranium and cedar give it a calm and wearable aura. The vanilla is noticeable but not strong. A tasty and versatile aroma. Lasts 6 hours, moderate projection: you feel it, and if someone gets close, they smell it, but nothing more. A perfume everyone should have.
Very tasty. The vanilla is noticeable in a masculine and authentic way. It’s very versatile for any occasion. It doesn’t have as much projection as I’d like, but I’m sure it’s appropriate for its aromas. It’s not overwhelming and is a fairly unique and familiar scent.
A simple but tasty aroma: apple, mint, vanilla, then cedar after a few hours. Too expensive for what it smells like; we’re paying for the brand and the bottle. There are many similar ones for much less. Even in a Spanish dupe shop, they have an identical one, just in a square bottle, costing $18 for 100ml. It’s identical from the start to the dry down.
If there’s a versatile fragrance, this is it! Simple and effective, ideal for all day. In any weather and occasion, the Eros EDT is worth it. It opens with a sparkling green apple and mint, sitting over a vanilla base that takes centre stage as it dries. It’s sweet, fresh at the start and warm at the end, simple and effective. Projection and longevity are moderate, and it’s available at a good price. A real workhorse!
Probably the most used fragrance from designer houses, but good and usable by almost everyone. In my opinion, the EDT is the best: longevity is moderate to weak, but it makes up for it by projecting well. You have to reapply; it doesn’t stand out, it doesn’t clash, you just feel it and it smells good. Its downside is that everyone has it, but it’s a great daily perfume for smelling good without a specific purpose.
A youthful and charming fragrance, not just for parties. Despite its vanilla touch, it’s fresh and green, wearable all year round without issues. I wore it this summer and, unlike others, it didn’t feel heavy to me. It’s easy to like: even people who don’t know much about perfumes told me it was ‘the best cologne you’ve ever heard of’, and I have rivals who cast a good shadow. Despite its popularity, I haven’t smelled it on anyone else, not even in crowded places. I’ve noticed many repeated scents, but not this one. Plus, I have a special affection for it because I wore it on my last holidays; those memories add value.
Good fragrances, but beware! Only in temperate or cool climates. In heat or tropical cities, it’s a nausea bomb that makes you want to vomit and gives people disgusted looks. It feels ultra-sweet and abhorrent. Don’t buy blindly, especially if you live in a tropical city or are in the middle of summer.
It smells like an old cat from Puerto Madero. It’s crude and unpleasant, nothing more or less.
I don’t understand what people find in this if reviewers are promoting it irresponsibly. It smells better than the concierge’s bathroom cleaner. It’s aggressive and the scent is the most synthetic I’ve ever smelled; it gives me a headache and makes me want to vomit.
Versace Eros, the Blue Beast! Opens with juicy lemon and green notes, feeling super clean. Underneath, a soft menthol gives way to incredible freshness. As it dries on the skin, that citrusy vanilla emerges without losing the menthol. It’s refined, nothing too loud, and it behaves beautifully. I have the EDP and it’s a treat: good projection and lasts 4–6 hours on skin, all day on clothes. For the bottle and the scent, 10/10.
A good perfume, everyone knows it and it smells lovely for everyday wear, but only in cool weather in my opinion. People say it smells divine, though others claim the EDT version smells like shortbread. I definitely love it and you’ll probably like it too. The only drawback is it doesn’t last long, about 3 hours on skin, though it lingers a bit longer on clothes.
Hello! First review, hope it helps. Eros is youthful and takes you to the Greek pantheon, evoking gods and desire. It opens with soft mint and a potent, characterful lemon, though it fades quickly to give way to a sweet cocktail where tonka bean and vanilla dominate, adding joviality and masculinity. Technically, the performance isn’t the best: on my skin it projects for an hour, then sits close to the skin for another four hours, lasting about five in total. Ideal for exploring designer scents or starting a collection. Versatile, its best season is autumn and winter, though also suitable for mild afternoons or warm evenings. Thanks for reading 😀
A relic and a beast. My father gifted it to me, and having this 2013 batch, a year after launch, is something else: powerful, soapy, and serious. The crisp mint and apple blend with vanilla and woods for a brutal projection. The newer batches leave something to be desired. This bottle is heaven for quality, beast-mode performance, and sentimental value. A designer who once smelled niche. Masculine, seductive, and marking territory. ⚜️ Scent: 10/10 (Classic, powerful, soapy, serious). ⚜️ Longevity: 10/10 ⚜️ Duration: 10-12h (Easily). ⚜️ Projection: 10/10 (A beast). ⚜️ Final Score: 10/10 ⚜️
It’s getting all the criticism, yet it’s the one that’s given me the most compliments, even compared to PDM or YSL. Honestly, women love it.
I bought a 2024 batch, and if it doesn’t last long, you’ll need to use several sprays. It was my first designer scent, bought mostly for parties; if you ask me, there are better options like Scandal or the Mandarin dupe. It’s a nice smell but feels very standard now, bringing nothing new. Will you smell good? Yes. Will it get compliments? Yes. Are there better options? Also yes.
Ideal for going out without pretensions. I’m quite demanding with this, as it’s the DNA I used a decade ago, and the reformulations haven’t helped due to poor performance. If you just want to smell nice and go unnoticed, this is your toxic: youthful, cool, asking for no attention, just smells good. I use it on sunny mornings or with informal outfits. It’s not bad, you just need to know when to wear it. I love it, but only in those moments.
I’ll keep it brief… I have a 2018 batch. Don’t let the batches worry you. The mint and vanilla combination feels like a medal and a double high-five to the bloke who created it. Lasts over four hours on skin, which isn’t bad. The bottle is nice and looks even better with its other flankers. It feels youthful, fresh, and has a bit of a vibe for daily use, though that’s down to personal taste.
I’d seen in collector groups that this was a staple and a favourite among many men, so I was curious to try it and now I understand why. I don’t know why most men I know prefer fresh, citrusy fragrances, but this certainly meets the criteria. What I didn’t find was the vanilla note; perhaps it’s just present in very small quantities.
Pleasant aroma, but nothing extraordinary. In my opinion, it’s versatile, but I think you should only pick it up if it’s heavily discounted; at full price, I feel there are better options available.
I found myself torn between this and Eros Flame. At first, it’s rich, but for about fifteen to thirty minutes, the notes feel off-balance; there’s a sharp lemon acidity that I didn’t like, so I went with Flame instead. Later, that lovely blend of green apple, mint, and vanilla emerges, which is excellent. If it were on a good price, I might consider buying it despite that initial hiccup.
