Bright Crystal Absolu by Versace

While the notes are exquisite, the result is incredibly flat. If I had to define it in one word, it would be ‘mist’ rather than perfume. I sought it out for the peony and raspberry, but truth be told, it fails to deliver. For me, it’s not worth it; it’s a wasted day of fragrance.

It’s very rich and fresh, but it’s not a wow perfume; I find it quite common. Nevertheless, I recommend it for anyone seeking something soft and crisp, perfect for summer. I’d give it a 7/10.

It’s not the eighth wonder, but it smells good, quite the opposite. It’s a fresh floral and very wearable. If you love peonies, this is for you, as it’s the star note, followed by a clean musk, nothing animalistic. I wear it during the day in spring and on cool summer evenings.

What a sophisticated piece from Versace… It is by far the best of the Crystals. You can tell the difference when compared to Crystal Noir EDT. It’s feminine, fresh, seductive, appealing and clean (but without that cleaner scent), sexy yet reserved. It’s not quite a masterpiece or something unusual in perfumery, but among designer scents it stands alongside overrated niche pieces like Ex Nihilo’s Fleur Narcotique. If you’re looking for a feminine, fresh and uncomplicated fragrance, it’s a good option.

I adored this perfume; it seems richer than Bright Crystal. It has a more potent and sweet fragrance. Ideal for spring and summer.

It’s my mum’s classic; I like it, but it stings my nose when it dries and I don’t enjoy that. The raspberry note is barely noticeable. Longevity and sillage are moderate, making it ideal only for spring and summer.

Soft and feminine; on my skin, the citrus and floral notes dominate, with almost no raspberry. Perfect for the office or daytime, suited to summer and spring. The sillage isn’t long, but it lasts for days on clothes. It’s a ‘calm’ scent; some find it too ladylike, but I like it, although I prefer something sweeter.

I prefer it more than the EDT, probably because of the fruity notes. But like the other one, it doesn’t seem particularly special to me.

What a gorgeous perfume; it’s feminine and sweet but balanced with the florals. My boyfriend loves it and when I wear it, I feel like a pretty little girl. The other day I put it on the back of my neck and the scent lasted for days, even after showering.

The dry down and heart were different and I liked them, but the base didn’t appeal to me as much.

Ideal for spring-summer, casual for outings with friends or your partner; I don’t see it for formal evening wear, but its sillage and longevity are very good. My partner loved it; even at night while sleeping I could still smell it; I applied it at 9 am on clothes and the scent stayed until I washed it.

I’ve been wearing this for two months and initially notice the peony with raspberry, but it soon becomes very watery. The longevity is poor; after three hours, it’s left on my clothes. It has a unisex vibe, though there are better options available.
