  • This perfume left me blocked at first. It was a blind buy and I didn’t know what to expect, nor could I imagine how different its aroma would be according to the composition. The opening is a hit of resins, leather, and incense. To give you an idea, at first it smells very much like Amouage’s Interlude, and with that more woody part, it recalls Valentino Noir Absolu Oud Essence; it’s a blend very close to both. It has personality, mystery, and strength. Now that I use it, I’m starting to understand it and want it: it’s not sweet, citrusy, or spicy; it’s pure resin, leather, and wood. Recommended for those over 30, usable daily. At first, it has a marked trail and good projection, but after two hours it settles, leaving a personal bubble that transports you to exotic Middle East, like galloping through an oasis in the desert. In summary: interesting, elegant, and classy, for formal and semi-formal looks. Scent 8.5/10, Trail 8.5/10, Projection 8/10, Longevity 8.5/10.

  • Hamdani… first off, it’s a serious, dark, and mysterious aroma. It smells strong and is something I hadn’t encountered before. The incense and resin are very noticeable, giving it a balsamic and powdery touch. This perfume is quite strange. I know little of the Arabian Breed line, having only tried Hamdani and Nisean, both elegant and dark, but I feel Hamdani is more mysterious and dry. DO NOT BUY BLIND if you aren’t a fanatic of potent fragrances in the style of Midnight Oud, Interlude, Oud Abyad, and so on.

A peculiar scent, neither lovely nor repulsive; it’s one of those tastes you earn over time. Dark, mysterious, and sober, it’s heavy with resins, incense, soft oud, cloves, and above all, leather. Imagine it like this: the smell of a freshly bathed horse with veterinary soap; wet leather, earth, and spices upon exiting, which as it dries becomes gentler, allowing the tobacco, resins, and a sweet hint of honey to breathe through, the moment it becomes wearable. Conclusion: nothing should be bought blind, and this proves it. Not versatile for me, but it fits a hyper-masculine style perfectly, like a biker in a leather jacket or a dapper gent in a black suit. It suits anyone really. I love sniffing it on the strips or my wrist out of habit; even though I wouldn’t wear it, I enjoy following the trail. It reminds me of Amouage’s Figment Man, perhaps an artwork best admired from afar.
