  • My batch lasts very little on skin, though it holds better on clothes, there’s something about this perfume I just don’t like. It might mellow with age or my perception could change, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

  • My batch lasts very little on skin; on clothes it holds better but there’s something about this perfume I really don’t like. It might mellow with time or my perception might change, but honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Smells green, unruly and rebellious, as Spinetta might say. Practically identical to Lattafa Safeer.

  • I’ve tried it several times in-store and it always leaves the same impression: a brutal opening, sweet, spicy and smoky, almost like caramelised roasted red peppers. Then it clicked for me: it’s not licorice, it’s saffron. That warm heat and that reddish smoke don’t deceive. Everything fits there. This perfume doesn’t fit either the official notes it declares (ginger and licorice) or the luminous profile associated with Oud for Happiness. Nor does it fully dive into the denser, darker side of Oud for Greatness. It stays in a curious middle ground: it has warm flashes of one and aromatic echoes of the other, as if orbiting between both worlds without fully defining itself. The fact that the official notes hide it only adds mystery… or marketing. When I tried it calmly at home: – Opening: a spectacular, complex and addictive bang. – Development: after a few minutes it drops in intensity and leaves a creamy, pleasant but discreet oud. – Longevity: it disappears before two hours. All the power of the extrait is concentrated in a majestic opening that makes me think a dragon is coming… but after its first breath of fire, it becomes lethargic. Happiness Oud deserves to be smelled because its opening is a treasure: red, warm, spicy and hypnotic. For me, it’s like that bridge between two styles that I now want to explore. As I don’t find the longevity or the lasting sillage I expect from an extrait on my skin, I’ll go for the original Initio ones to see how their DNA sounds.

Nice scent. Spinetta would describe it as: ‘Green, stubborn, and rebellious’. Practically identical to Lattafa Safeer.
