It’s a wonder: vanilla, beer and a touch of hay that convey joy. Ideal for autumn, winter and spring. I wouldn’t wear it at night or with jeans, but rather with something smart-casual. It suits perfectly from the age of 27, it’s super versatile, projects two metres and lasts more than seven hours.
It’s a fragrance wonder. What stands out most when spraying it is the vanilla, the beer and a touch of hay; it conveys joy. Definitely for autumn, winter and spring. I wouldn’t wear it at night or with shorts and a shirt, but rather with smart-casual attire. It suits perfectly from the age of 27. It’s extremely versatile, projects about two metres and lasts more than seven hours on the skin.
It’s a sweet and brutal vanilla. Warm bergamot, clove and a woody orange (maybe benzoin?) that reminds me of brandy. It smells cosy and calming. Perhaps it isn’t the most original thing in the world, but who cares? It’s a pleasant and warm scent, super relaxing. It brings images of cookies and cakes baking in a kitchen next to the garden. I love it. It’s classic and homely; you can’t go wrong with this.
Sweet and brutal vanilla, with warm bergamot, clove and a touch of woody orange that smells of brandy. It gives me homey tingles, calm and the scent of cakes baking in the kitchen next to the garden. It’s classic, cosy and you’ll love it. No mistake in wearing this.
I understand why people take issue with Zoologist for expecting every fragrance to be an olfactory challenge, but it’s brilliant that beasts like T-Rex exist. I adore that one, yet I’m surprised by the haughty tone of judgment. Not every animal scent needs to suggest complex scenarios; everyone is free to have their own tastes. We should be more objective and value each perfume on its own merits and as part of the whole. From my perspective, this doesn’t undermine the house’s concept. Granted, it doesn’t challenge us or demand an experienced nose, BUT let’s stop and think: why should that be negative? Just because it’s an easily pleasing scent? Why, from our pedestal of experts, do we fail to perceive something that for the majority would be a kick in the teeth, yet which we know how to appreciate? Does it lack level? Are we so arrogant? Even if Harvest Mouse isn’t super original, it’s a magnificent formulation. It may recall other perfumes, but it has its own character. It’s pleasant, comforting, warm and sweet without being cloying. I won’t detail the notes, but it feels avoirdupois with grain, hay and a hint of alcohol; once you know it carries chamomile, you can smell it. It doesn’t have great projection; within a few hours it becomes intimate, though its longevity on skin is good—I’ve managed seven hours. Perfect for dates that end in close intimacy. Despite being sweet, it’s versatile, more for autumn, winter and spring, but it’s not madness to wear it in summer. Very wearable for daily life. Harvest Mouse is already a worthy candidate for my collection.
I know some are bothered that Zoologist isn’t always a challenge for the nose, but I love that jewels like T-Rex or Moth exist. Not all perfumes need to be complex; each has its place. Let’s stop being so haughty and value each fragrance on its own merits. The fact that Harvest Mouse isn’t a challenge isn’t bad; why should something easy and pleasant be less valuable? Are we so arrogant that we only appreciate what is difficult? It’s a well-made scent with its own character, warm, sweet but not cloying. It feels vanilla with hay and a touch of alcohol, detectable chamomile. The projection is just right, ideal for close dates, and lasts about seven hours on skin. It’s versatile, perfect for autumn, winter or spring, though it also wears well in summer. For my collection, it’s a worthy candidate.
