  1. It smells of woods, a touch of spices like cardamom and pepper, and a sweet hazelnut. It’s warm and balsamic, very well balanced. Slightly gourmand, like a very subtle hazelnut chocolate. Lovely, pleasant, cosy and irresistible. Imagine an autumn afternoon, the fire crackling, sharing coffee and sweets; you turn and see your reflection in the window: you are an elegant squirrel. I loved it; I wouldn’t mind having it. Smelling like this, simply you can’t go wrong.

The balance is top-notch, with a very subtle gourmand wink, like hazelnut chocolate. It’s lovely, cosy, and even irresistible. 3. To my nose, Chipmunk begins green, like grass, rough, earthy and woody, with a very marked hazelnut base and touches of vanilla. Then that green edge fades, revealing slightly chocolatey and resinous nuances without dominating, until it dries into something moderately sweet with faint coffee notes and plenty of earthiness. It’s an interesting fragrance, perhaps impactful if you’re not accustomed to artistic aromas, but it perfectly recreates the atmosphere of a squirrel. It reminds me of Fat Electrician by ELDO, but it outshines it in every way, and ELDO isn’t a bad house. Unisex, for daytime, temperate climates and relaxed or semi-formal occasions. I like it quite a bit; it evolves and improves with time, so I might add it to my collection. In my humble opinion, it’s worth the price. Rating: 8/10
