Descripción
Heraud by Tauer Perfumes is an oriental vanilla fragrance for men and women. This creation, launched in 2024, is a new addition to the collection. The nose behind this composition is Andy Tauer. The top notes unfold with cacao and bergamot; the heart reveals a harmony of cacao, dates, and white flowers; while the base notes settle into grey amber, vanilla, woody notes, cedar, and musk.

It’s not a cloying gourmand, but an amber-floral base with a layer of cocoa; the dates are almost imperceptible to my nose. Projection on skin is moderate, but the longevity is eternal. The opening balances the cocoa well with the floral notes, which remind me of Golestan without the citrus aspect, and over time the cocoa gives way to a more floral and balsamic scent (with the incense and resins that are Tauer’s signature). Compared to his other fragrances, the price is high, but it’s justified by the rarity of the cocoa and the quality. It’s completely unisex, versatile, and ideal for cool climates or night outings.
This perfume is not a cloying gourmand, but rather an amber floral base with a layer of cocoa. The dates are almost imperceptible to me. The projection on skin is moderate, but the longevity is eternal. The opening balances the cocoa well with floral notes reminiscent of Golestan, without the citrus part, and over time the cocoa loses strength, transforming into something more floral and balsamic (with the incense and resins typical of Tauer). Compared to his other perfumes, the price is high, but it is justified by the rarity of the cocoa and the quality. Completely unisex, I consider it versatile and ideal for cool climates or night outings.
This is 100% Bianco Latte by Giardini di Toscana. Nothing more, nothing less.
Powdery sweet cocoa, with the appearance of freshly carved wood. As it dries down, the floral oriental emerges and results in a jewel.
From Bianco Latte, it is between nothing and less…
I recommend this perfume. Although at this price there could be more mainstream options, this does not resemble any other sweet or gourmand. You can sense the perfumer’s search for exclusivity, found in this doubly distilled cocoa from Ivory Coast. On my skin, it lasts 4 to 5 hours with good projection for the first two hours. It is an excellent olfactory experience for an enthusiast. Those who see a perfume as a work of art will find an excellent interpretation here.
What a strange thing. I don’t know what to feel or if I like it. To me, it smells only of cocoa butter, nothing more, from start to finish. I am sure others detect other notes, but my nose does not. There may be a hint of vanilla as it dries down, perhaps. It is such an unusual scent that it leaves me knocked out and impressed. It is well worth smelling, although buying it is another matter: it is very expensive and I don’t know if I can see myself smelling like this all around. Unisex, I suppose, as cocoa has no gender. No versatility; I don’t know when I would wear it, which I think is its major flaw. Scent: 8, I have changed the number about 17 times. I like it, I cannot give it less. Longevity: 8, sillage: 7. Price: 225 Euros/50ml.
What a strange thing. I don’t know what to feel, nor if I like it. To me, it smells simply of cocoa butter, full stop. From start to finish. I’m sure others detect other notes, but my nose doesn’t. Perhaps a hint of vanilla, especially as it dries down. It’s such an unusual scent that it leaves me knocked out and impressed. It’s well worth smelling, then the question of buying… well, no, because it’s very expensive and I don’t know if I can see myself wearing this around the world. In summary: unisex, I suppose cocoa has no gender. No versatility at all; I don’t know when to use it, which I think is its greatest flaw. Scent: 8, I’ve changed the number about 17 times, but I like it, I can’t give it less. Longevity: 8. Sillage: 7. Price: 225 euros/50ml.
It is extremely sweet to my taste. Too much chocolate, cocoa butter, and a powdery note. In my opinion, it is difficult to wear. For that matter, there are better chocolatey perfumes, such as Iris Cartagena.

It is a Tauer gourmand, an explosion of vanilla and cocoa. Although I am not a fan of gourmands, this is quite good and does not go overboard on sweetness; it leans more towards a dark or earthy cocoa. I do not detect the woody notes, but as it dries down, it improves: the cocoa and the powdery/dry aspect increase. Perhaps still a little sweet for my taste, but very good.
Heraud deceives. With notes of dates, vanilla, and cocoa, one imagines something soft and typical, but the reality shakes you from the very first second. I bought it blind and it was a shock: the dry, earthy date is unexpectedly potent. Then come the vanilla, cocoa, and dry woods, with a powdery and smoky texture. It doesn’t seek to please everyone: it is dark, elegant, and radical. The doubly distilled cocoa from Ivory Coast is overdosed and noticeable. It is round, enveloping, and of impressive quality. A gourmand with character, not the typical sweet and easy kind. It is one of the most potent I have tried: it lasts all day, clothes absorb it, and it is stable. There is no direct comparison; perhaps the vanilla faintly recalls Dior Bois Talisman from afar, but Heraud is in another category. Ideal for collectors seeking soul and presence. The bottle follows the house’s line with a beautiful sticker. If you are going to pay, pay for something like this. It has become my favourite, surpassing even Tom Ford’s Ombre Leather. It is not easy to classify; it is simply Heraud.
Heraud is a delicious trap. Based on the notes (dates, vanilla, cocoa), you’d expect something creamy and typical, but it delivers an immediate twist. I bought it blind and was shocked: the dry, earthy date is brutal at first. Then vanilla, cocoa, and dry woods enter with a powdery, deep, slightly smoky texture. It doesn’t seek to please everyone; it’s dark, elegant, and radically distinct. The Ivory Coast cocoa, double-distilled as Andy Tauer describes, is overdosed and noticeable. It’s round, enveloping, and of impressive quality. Narratively simple, yet with complex nuances. It’s a gourmand with character, not sweet and easy. In terms of behaviour, it’s one of the most potent I’ve tried: it lasts all day without effort, soaking into clothes like ink. It doesn’t flatten or change with heat. It’s stable and reliable. There’s no comparison. Perhaps the vanilla vaguely recalls Dior Bois Talisman, but Heraud is in a different league. For high-quality niche, it’s an option to consider. Ideal for collectors seeking soul and presence. The bottle follows the house’s line with a lovely sticker that conveys more in hand than in photos. Exclusivity suits it well: if you pay, pay for this. It’s now my favourite. I’ve spent years searching for something to surpass Tom Ford’s Ombre Leather, and Heraud has done it. Difficult to classify, simply it is Heraud.
It’s not a complicated scent, but rather a pleasant one made to please, albeit different. Basically, it smells of a sweet, dusty, and creamy cocoa. To me, it feels slightly too sweet, similar to Bianco Latte. I adore the cocoa note, but here it’s pushed to a sugary point—very chocolatey yet without bitterness. If you enjoy sweet gourmands and the cocoa note, give it a try. I like it quite a bit, but for now, I doubt it will make it into my collection.
It’s not a complicated fragrance, rather pleasant and designed to please, but different. Basically, it smells of sweet, powdery, and creamy cocoa. It feels a little too sweet to me; I don’t know why, but it takes me to a sweetness like Bianco Latte. I like the cocoa note a lot, but here it’s treated towards a sweeter, more chocolatey point, a very sugared chocolate, not bitter. If you like very sweet gourmands and the cocoa note, give it a look. I like it quite a bit, but it feels too sweet; I’ll try it more to see if my opinion changes, but for now, I doubt it will make it into my collection.
