Descripción

Jimmy Choo Man Blue by Jimmy Choo is an aromatic woody fragrance for men. Launched in 2018, the nose behind this composition is Nathalie Lorson. The top notes reveal lavender, black pepper, helichrysum and bergamot; the heart unfolds with ambergris, leather, cypress, apple and pineapple; while the base notes complete the olfactory pyramid with vanilla, sandalwood, vetiver and patchouli.

  • Excellent fragrance, somewhat similar to Versace Dylan Blue, but with that characteristic Jimmy Choo Man touch. A fresh pepper opening that then degrades into a very fresh and delicious fruity amber. Very elegant and potent, it approaches an EDP. In my opinion, it’s one of those that everyone loves. Highly recommended.

  • Excellent perfume. I’d never dared to try this house, but I tried Jimmy Choo Man Blue. What can I say? A scent between Dior Sauvage and Dylan Blue, but deeper and less intense than the Sauvage. Worth noting is that you’ll get good compliments. Its price is much lower than the previous ones.

  • I tried a sample that was gifted to me; it’s an EDT. As a fan of the classic Jimmy Choo feminine, I had high expectations for this masculine version. But I find nothing surprising… It smells nice, but nothing outside the classic ‘blue’ lines. It has fresh herbal notes with an aquatic effect, and of course a touch of spices and woods (cypress and green vetiver). Now it becomes sweeter and less green. For me, neither here nor there… I’ve read that it has ambroxan… Hmm… I don’t perceive it… I’ll try it again, to see if my expectations conditioned me too much…

Excellent opening, intoxicating and fresh. Pity that its projection and longevity fade quickly; you need to reapply all the time. That’s why I don’t risk buying it, maybe one day, but very good smell, eh, quirky.

I was gifted this, so I gave it a chance. It should be more than it is, very generic and doesn’t stand out among masculine blues. It has green notes, but its opening sounds more marine and fresh, with a moderate sweetness that doesn’t shine. In the dry-down, those marine notes mix with the leather and become something like musk, good for going out at night. Curiously, I checked its price and there are plenty that stand out more. I wouldn’t recommend buying it blindly.

  • Diego Bronson

Pleasant but mediocre. It combines everything that works in a ‘blue’ with extra green notes. Reminds me of Dylan Blue but without the punch. It’s versatile except on very hot days. Projection and longevity are disappointing; after 30 minutes it stays close to the skin and barely changes in the dry-down. Not worth it unless you catch it on sale, it’s a gift, or you have nothing else. There are better options at similar prices. Forgettable.

  • Fresh blue fragrance, very wearable, with the quality of the collection siblings: rich upon application and with a good atomiser and bottle. However, it suffers from the same ailment as all Jimmy Choo scents: they don’t project or last. What a pity that such well-crafted aromas evaporate so quickly. Divine but fleeting.
