This edition is better than last year’s, which was one of the worst for me. It’s quite sweet; I miss the freshness of the 2015 version, perhaps it’s a bit cloying. I think it’s more feminine than masculine.
I tried it looking for something for summer. The first impression is of an aftershave, with too much lemon and synthetic mint, and lots of alcohol. After a few hours, a hint of cedar comes through, but nothing else. I find it more masculine than unisex.
I gave it to my teenage son and it was a hit. It’s youthful, light, simple and clean, with a soft scent. The trail and longevity are a bit weak, but it smells lovely. Above all, it’s perfect for young people starting to use more mature fragrances.
Quite pleasant, fresh and youthful. Ideal for hot days, sunshine, the beach, or a country walk. Unfortunately, the longevity is very poor, so I wouldn’t buy it again.
Another blind buy that went wrong. In these days when procrastination has become almost an illness, you end up purchasing purely out of inertia. I came across this CK One Summer with notes I suddenly couldn’t stop smelling. I don’t know what happened, but I was craving something like a tropical cocktail with a Carmen Miranda-style fruit twist, and, as expected, it didn’t deliver. I imagined a super fresh summer scent with guava, pineapple, and coconut. I’m not saying I wouldn’t wear fruit notes, but this just smells like artificial, unpleasant fruit. To my nose, it smells like Garnier Fructis shampoo—that endless 2000s advert. In the end, I used it as an occasional room freshener, but even for that, it fell short. I hope next time I’m less efficient at pressing the buy button.
Another blind purchase, and the result was anything but what I expected. In this age where procrastination has become almost pathological, I ended up buying out of pure consumer inertia. I stumbled upon this CK One Summer and suddenly I couldn’t stop sniffing those notes. I don’t know what came over me, but I wanted something like a tropical cocktail with the fruity touch of Carmen Miranda; as you might expect, those hopes were dashed. With a free mind, I imagined it would be a super refreshing summer scent, given the guava, pineapple, and coconut notes. I’m not saying it doesn’t have them, but all I perceive is a very artificial and unpleasant fruity smell. To my nose, this smells nothing more than Garnier Fructis shampoo, the one that was everywhere on TV in the early 2000s and I believe is still on the shelves. In the end, I used it as an occasional room freshener, yet it failed even that purpose. Let’s hope next time I’m less efficient at hitting the buy button.
Snagged it on sale and couldn’t say no. I was already smitten with CK One Summer Daze, and now I’m a total fan of this fresh coconut and citrus blend. I know it doesn’t last long, but it doesn’t bother me as I like to rotate perfumes throughout the day. If you accidentally spray it on your clothes, it lingers and smells like a sweet, refreshing hug. Honestly, I’d love to collect them all like Pokémon cards.
