What a delight! The pepper, if you’re not scared off, really grabs you. Think of it as competing directly with Hugo Boss Hugo Red. The rum gets a bit overshadowed by the pepper, which rules absolutely here. It’s youthful, informal, rough, and if you like, bold. Highly recommended.

What a delight this fragrance is! The pepper note, if it doesn’t disgust you, captivates… To explain the parallel: it competes directly with Hugo Red by Hugo Boss. The rum note is somewhat overshadowed by the pepper (which is the absolute star in this German fragrance). Youthful, informal, rugged, and, if you wish, bold; that’s how I rate it. Highly recommended.

  • Shiseido Tactics… you forgot to mention it’s affordable; it’s a wonder, I agree with you.

  • Shiseido Tactics… you missed it and it’s economical; it’s a fragrance marvel, I agree with you.

  • I absolutely love this fragrance; personally, I detect a watermelon scent, but every nose is a world. You can smell its delicious sillage; it has nothing to do with Joop Homme, although I find it somewhat youthful. The packaging is pretty, though I don’t like the skull; it seems made for rebellious lads, but it’s a rich perfume at a good price compared to high-end brands. A good, affordable, and delicious fragrance; I just bought it so I don’t know its longevity yet.

  • I love it. I detect watermelon in it, but every nose is a different world. Its sillage is delicious, nothing like Joop Homme, although I do sense it’s youthful. The bottle is pretty, but I don’t like the skull; it seems made for rebellious lads. It’s a rich perfume at a good price compared to high-end brands. Affordable and delicious, I just bought it so I don’t know its longevity yet.

Few have reviewed this. I was looking for the classic Joop Homme, but after reading these three, I decided on this and have no regrets. Its strongest point is longevity: it lasts about 14 hours without exaggerating. Projection is good for about 5 hours, then it feels closer. The scent is rich, with a clear liquor note and a coconut smell that makes it attractive. Ideal for cold days; I wouldn’t recommend it in heat if you can’t handle strong fragrances. I give it 9/10.

I see few reviews for this fragrance; I was looking for the classic Joop Homme but was encouraged to try it after reading these reviews, and I have no regrets. Its strong point is the longevity; it lasts around 14 hours without exaggeration, and the projection is good for about 5 hours, then it feels closer. The aroma is rich; you can clearly smell the liquor and also a coconut scent that makes it attractive. It’s very good for cold days; I don’t recommend it in the heat unless you can handle strong scents without getting dizzy. I give it 9/10.

  • This perfume doesn’t speak to me; it’s sweet in the Paris Hilton for Her style due to the pepper note, youthful, and apart from that, the bottle is ugly and the cap is grotesque… The scent reminded me of Diesel Fuel for Life Homme because the rum note is so shrill, very similar to the raspberry note, equally sharp… Total disappointment as I prefer perfumes with personality.

  • It’s a blend of Paco Rabanne 1 Million and Carolina Herrera 212 Men VIP. It has excellent projection and longevity, plus it’s not very expensive. I recommend it.

  • The rum note seems too intense to me… although I’ve received praise, I prefer the regular Joop! more; I’ve had it for a short while, so I’ll keep testing it.

  • Delicious, boozy, and spiced with a sweet tobacco base; very good. At first, it smells strongly of rum but spiced, not hot; I detect pink pepper as something fruity, like a tropical cocktail that makes you want to drink. Gradually the rum softens, revealing a woody base with a touch of sweet tobacco, very youthful and informal. From there, it stays the same, wrapped in that sweet, boozy backdrop. I absolutely love it. It lasts a long time, has moderate sillage, and for the price, it’s a beast—perfect for any weather, better at night. Youthful, cheerful, carefree, and it generates compliments. Highly recommended.

  • Delicious, alcoholic, and spiced with a sweet, woody tobacco base. From the start, you can smell the rum, although initially the spice dominates (not hot; I sense fruity African pink pepper), like a tropical cocktail that makes you want to drink. Gradually the alcohol mellows and a woody base with a touch of sweet tobacco emerges, very youthful and informal. It doesn’t evolve further, staying wrapped in alcohol and wood. I simply adore it. Excellent duration and moderate sillage; for the price, it’s magnificent, perfect for any weather, better at night. Youthful, cheerful, and carefree, it generates compliments. Highly recommended.

  • I didn’t like it; it’s too sweet for my nose. The opening is the best, but then it becomes very synthetic. It has good performance and an acceptable price. As others say, it’s very youthful.

  • I didn’t like it; it’s too sweet for my nose. Nevertheless, the opening is the best part, then it becomes too synthetic. It has good performance and an acceptable price. As my fellow reviewers say, very youthful.

  • I absolutely love this for the price and performance; it smells better than many expensive perfumes. It has three phases: at first, the sweet rum is the best, then it quickly shifts to a middle phase identical to Givenchy Play Intense, though that also doesn’t last long. Finally, there’s an original blend of rum and pepper that you wouldn’t expect in its category; it smells costly and classy, even if it’s synthetic. It’s versatile for any weather from 7 pm onwards. Worth it: it’s fun, very popular, and ideal if you’re on a tight budget but want something rich and long-lasting. Age 25-35, heavy sillage, and incredible longevity. Rating: 9/10.

  • It’s exactly the same as Calvin Klein’s Eternity Now. Perhaps the Wild has better longevity and trail, but apart from details, it’s the same perfume. It’s curious how some houses copy others.

  • Today I had to suffer a terrible day, cold and harsh; the only nice thing was wearing this perfume, Joop Homme Wild, which arrived yesterday by a pleasant coincidence. It was in my usual perfumerie and I saw the bottle. I applied it and I liked the liquor and fruity tone of the opening a lot. Well, I thought; being a Joop, the performance shouldn’t be bad. There were no boxes, only the tester left. I asked the girl if she could sell it to me (always do this in such cases, don’t be shy) and bingo: I got an almost new 125ml bottle at a very good price. Joop Wild is striking and cheerful, fun. It starts with pink pepper on demand and a delicious rum touch that stays there throughout the development. Then it evolves towards more woody, sweet and floral nuances, keeping that liquor spark. The projection is moderate, clearly perceptible, and it lasts ages on the skin. Despite the pyramid, I can’t perceive any tobacco nuance. It’s pleasant for oneself and others, clearly sensual, warm and festive. Its persistence doesn’t make it heavy. It’s ideal for dates where you want to smell ‘a bit’ daring. I see a certain connection with other perfumes of the style like 1 Million or Versace Dreamer, perhaps not so focused on youth. It makes me feel good and the truth is I like it a lot.

Joop, Joop, Joop… what can I say about you? I took the time to warn that it’s not what it seems. Seeing the page and the note blend, it looks like a ‘unique’, ‘intoxicating’, ‘distinctive’ scent, and you wouldn’t be wrong thinking so. I bought it blind thinking of a strong, heavy rum, like Bentley Intense or Bulgari Man in Black, but with Joop’s youthful touch; in my mind it was an exquisite and standout fragrance. It arrived with niche samples and excited I applied it; the idea of it being ‘unique’ left my head. ¡Puuff! The first impression entry is Halloween Man… no. I waited for it to dry, nothing, all the same and linear. Using it more days, disappointed, when I got my fragrance back I realised it does stand out in one thing: it’s fruitier, with a similar opening, but nothing like the ‘Pozo’. As it dries a bit more it feels fruity, the rum you get is fruity, not bad, but it’s more of the crowd. In summary, I don’t dislike it: it’s fruity, linear and youthful, but mate, with this you’ll have a smell similar to Halloween, 1 Million, 212 VIP Black, Amo, Diesel Fuel for Life, Gold Secret and all those scents; imagine a fruitier 1 Million. I wouldn’t buy it because they can confuse you with those already mass-produced ones; the idea is to stand out, right? Projection of 3 to 4 hours, from heavy to moderate, and longevity of 6 to 8 hours; the truth is it’s not much, I wouldn’t buy it again.

We’re not wrong if you think that, but I bought it blindly expecting a strong, heavy rum scent, like Bentley Intense or Man in Black by Bulgari, with a youthful touch. I imagined something exquisite and standout. It arrived with niche samples, excited I put it on, and the idea of ‘unique’ flew out of my head. Phew! The initial impression is Halloween Man… isn’t it? I waited for it to dry down, nothing, it stayed the same and linear. Using it for several days, disappointed, when I returned to a fragrance I already owned, I realised it stands out in one thing: if it’s fruitier, the opening is similar, but as it dries down a bit more, it feels fruity. The rum you get here is fruity, not bad, but it’s more of the crowd, scents I’ve already had. Thanks to my friend Bofifa, I got to try it. I found it interesting, liking it more than the normal version. A bit intrusive for the first half hour, then I noticed several changes; it’s not linear, it has changed quite a bit over time, with rum, wood and tobacco clearly perceptible alongside the fruity notes. Ideal if you’re young or a bachelor who loves clubs and likes to be noticed; with youthful attire, three sprays of Joop Wild and you’ll magically look ten years younger. The performance isn’t bad and the longevity is correct, for a cheerful and carefree proposal that will get more than one smile.

  • Surprising opening: it’s like walking into a sweet shop and opening a can of fizzy drink with bubbles fizzing on your nose. I detect a crazy mix of rum barrel, watermelon gum, melon and violet candy; all together make you keep sniffing it. As it settles, it becomes more serious, noting woods and tobacco without losing the fun and sugary point. In the 90s I used classic Joop a lot and loved it; the difference is that this has more nuances and is less cloying, while the classic is more arrogant and youthful. Both are attractive in their own way. In the end, it ends up smelling of a bakery, reminding me a lot of Zara Men’s Tobacco Collection Rich Warm Addictive, which I can’t stand; that scent isn’t as intense and is forgiven, but that’s where it ends. For the price, it might be worth having in the collection.

  • Joop Homme Wild is, as g00nie says, sparkling, sweet and effervescent like a Coca-Cola. If it’s true that it has nothing to do with the brand’s usual style, for its release date it was when they went strongest with synthetic notes like Jesus del Pozo’s Halloween or Paco Rabanne’s 1 Million; this one has some too, making it slightly more plastic, but a change is always better. I recommend it without doubt.

  • I like the opening, like a cheap and youthful version of Roja’s Enigma, with that sparkling Coca-Cola vibe; the pink pepper is barely noticeable. Then the vibe drops and improves, turning into a woody rum; overall it smells less artificial than expected, with an alcoholic but fun touch. The performance is above its price, though it doesn’t reach Joop Homme levels: it projects for about 2 to 2.5 hours and lasts 5 to 6 hours on the skin. I was pleasantly surprised, I liked it more than the original.

  • What a terrible fragrance. I bought it on Notino based on the reviews, and it bears no resemblance to anything; there’s no rum, it doesn’t last, and it’s nothing. They must have reformulated it since 2017 because now you only smell alcohol, and it only registers if you press your nose right against the skin. I wouldn’t recommend it at all, don’t spend the money, truly. Luckily I only lost £18.

  • Smells very familiar, as others say, it’s a blend of 1Million, Fuel for Life, Halloween and the like. It has good performance because it’s potent and the value for money is worth it, but it’s not a novel or distinctive scent.

Still riding the Joop wave after falling for Jump’s price point, so I took a leap with this Homme Wild. The opening of macerated red fruits, like cherry or plum, is brutal, but soon yields to middle notes with an alcoholic and sweet touch. The trail is decent, but the longevity is a real shame: after two and a half hours, it’s barely noticeable if you bring your hand to your nose, despite applying six or seven sprays (and I hate when the atomiser drips onto the bottle). If it lasted a bit longer, it would be perfect, but at around £18 for a 100ml bottle, the purchase is justified. I recommend it for fresh days, not cold ones, and informal outings. Rating: 7/10.
