Absolutely bold, radiant, and sensual. It’s a sublime expression between voluptuousness, leather, and musk (after an hour), but the initial hit is a mild sting of ginger and pepper, with a vibrant heart of ylang and bergamot freshness, a rich soul of jasmine, and a small touch of soft vanilla. It reminds me a lot of Fendi’s Theorema, close to leathers but fresh, persistent, sensual, and ultra-feminine. It’s one of those that makes you feel secure, firmly rooted in life, and unforgettable. It’s very well made and the dry down is almost unisex. I understand some may not like the opening. I feared it might be too sweet, but it isn’t, though it is slightly powdery. Within about an hour, you get an excellent, natural, and balanced blend. You shouldn’t expect obvious jasmine or chocolate; this is what a ‘old school’ designer fragrance aimed to do (before the era of super-sweet fruity fragrances), an excellent balance between contrasting notes, naturalness, dynamism, and a reasonable amount of complexity.
I don’t like this perfume. I tried it once and found it horrible. Perhaps it’s not for my skin, as it smells different on others.
A lovely fragrance, strong, long-lasting, and warm. A brilliant opening of gourmand honey with a hint of smoke that turns the note into fine leather, and then all the notes reappear in the cognac barrel where they were kept.
Vintage and hard to find nowadays. It followed in the footsteps of Mugler’s Angel’s worldwide success. It’s sweet without being cloying, feminine yet with an androgynous touch, and performs brilliantly. Looking for something for my mother, who is older with a modern and elegant style, I stumbled upon this at a ridiculous price. I bought it without hesitation. She doesn’t use it often, but when she does, it gives her presence, class, and great projection. It doesn’t smell synthetic; it’s warm, slightly spicy, and perhaps the chocolate and jasmine blend gives the wearer charisma. I don’t like the bottle, to be honest; it doesn’t add class, but it is elegant. It doesn’t smell dated at all. Highly recommended.
Total surprise at 98 in October at my usual perfumer’s. Montana was brand new and very novel. I took it to my sister because Montana had such a great reputation and was easy to find. I can’t recall the exact scent, but it smelled incredibly modern and leather suited it perfectly. It’s a pity it didn’t last long on the market, as it was good.
I absolutely loved this perfume. Potent, original, and it lasted for hours. What a shame it’s no longer available.
