Descripción
Kenzo Amour Le Parfum by Kenzo is an oriental fragrance for women. Launched in 2008, this composition was created by Daphné Bugey. Its top notes of incense and rice give way to a floral and spicy heart where frangipani, patchouli, and plumaria intertwine. The base reveals a warm and enveloping blend of vanilla, benzoin, and amber.

A limited edition I treasure; I only have two bottles and I want it to become a classic in my collection. It is one of my favourite fragrances. It captivated me instantly, giving me a unique and unmistakable ‘déjà vu’, as if the scent were familiar. It’s a delicate and sensual blend of incense and frangipani with a creamy touch of benzoin, nothing intrusive. Its longevity is incredible, lasting over 10 hours on my skin. It makes me feel under a romantic and positive enchantment. If you wish, read the review of the original Kenzo Amour as well.
A limited edition of which I only managed to get two bottles that I treasure. I would like it to be a constant in my collection, as it is one of my favourite fragrances. How to describe it? It captivated me instantly, provoking a ‘déjà vu’ I haven’t felt with another perfume. My first impression was recognising a ‘familiar’ scent. For me, it is a delicate and sensual combination of incense and frangipani, with a pleasant creamy touch of benzoin, nothing strong or intrusive. Its longevity is extraordinary, surpassing 10 hours on my skin. It makes me feel as though under a romantic and positive enchantment. As a complement, I recommend reading the review of the original Kenzo Amour.
With amber, vanilla, incense, patchouli and frangipani… this fragrance is a wonder of perfumery: ‘Kenzo Amour le Parfum’. It’s warm, Oriental, sweet and very well balanced. With good longevity and a wide trail, this perfume combines all its notes well, constituting an unconventional harmony. It’s an Oriental scent that is very suitable for young women; it has nothing that makes it assimilate to a ‘unisex’ fragrance, nor does it have any discordant or annoying notes. It’s a very natural scent and that constitutes a great virtue in a market dominated by very artificial fragrances… it’s highly recommended!

I’ve had this perfume for 3 years, THE SAME BOTTLE. The truth is I do like it, but I only use it for special occasions like 15th birthdays, weddings or graduations, always in winter. This fragrance is exclusively for winter and preferably at night, for an adult woman; it’s not for young girls. It’s by far twice as strong as the original Amour; it’s not bad, it smells good, but it’s very strong and penetrating; in fact, my mum uses it more than I do. Unlike Amour, this perfume isn’t so versatile; it’s more exclusive for events that require more presence and elegance. That said, it’s an unforgettable perfume and absolutely feminine and sexy.
My newlywed husband gifted it to me in 2008… I still have it, obviously there is very little left and it is preserved superbly. I like it because it is enigmatic, powerful, intriguing, strong, sexual and full of character. For me, it is the DIVA of my collection. Although I bought it just after turning 23, I perceive it as more suitable for those over 30. It is a very warm perfume; I recommend it for winter and for evening wear.

I love it!
Kenzo Amour Le Parfum is the cutest thing in the planet… Oh God! How can concepts in perfumery change so much in just 10 short years? A special edition from the Kenzo house that could have been one of its firmest and most beautiful standards of all time. When this house touches or touched incense, it did so so that those who love it could enjoy it until they levitate to the fourth floor. What a pity! A totally smoky and mysterious Oriental exit conjugated with a vanilla that never overpowers, tempered by the beautiful and totally overwhelming incense. Having it is like entering a Buddhist temple on the Shikoku Henro pilgrimage in Japan where relaxation comes on its own and solitude is enjoyed. This is a Kenzo. ADDITION: I beg on my knees for the Kenzo house to bring it back or create something similar with its delicious incense and vanilla.
This is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever put on my face. What spectacular incense! An elegant, sensual, warm, cosy and voluptuous scent, a feminine fragrance that, even though I’m a man, I couldn’t resist wearing. To my surprise, on my skin it loses that femininity and voluptuousness, showing me a more androgynous and unisex side. It could easily have been an independent perfume rather than a limited edition flanker that was a flash in the pan. Very bad for Kenzo to show us this and then deprive us of it completely, while they continue to flood the market with clones and genuine works of art like this, only to pull the plug and give it a limited life… that’s not done! At first I tested it on my sister, and while it developed as extremely feminine and charming on her, a vanilla-incense with a prominent rice note, on me things changed for the better. On my skin it was a more linear scent, a vanilla-incense, something earthy, with a light touch of patchouli and the rice note very in the background, but on my skin that feminine note was well muted, allowing me to wear it without issue. A smoky, sweet, mysterious and magical scent, but above all sensual and placid. I’ve been wearing it for two full days and it’s been a long time since a perfume made me feel so happy. What a shame about its discontinuation. As for its performance, it’s good; it lasts on my skin for more than 8 hours, with a moderate trail but a very marked presence. It’s a perfume for fresh and mild climates and preferably for night use; during the day I think it would lose that mysterious and sensual touch that the night would amplify. I fell in love with its scent, and just as quickly as I went into ecstasy upon meeting it, I fell into depression upon hearing of its discontinuation and the outrageous prices for the few surviving examples. What a shame… but anyway, I lack the words to thank Casablanca77 for allowing me to know this magnificent perfume and for guiding me on where to get it. THANKS!
It is one of the most beautiful perfumes I have ever worn. What spectacular incense! It is elegant, sensual, warm, cosy and voluptuous. Although I am a man, I could not resist using it; on my skin it loses its femininity and becomes more androgynous and unisex. It’s a pity it was a limited edition and has been discontinued, while we are flooded with clones. I first tried it on my sister, where it came out very feminine with rice and vanilla notes, but on me it became more linear, earthy and with a touch of patchouli, tempering the femininity so it could be worn without issue. It is smoky, sweet, mysterious, magical, sensual and placid. I have worn it two days in a row and it has made me feel as happy as I have in so long. What a shame about its discontinuation. It lasts over 8 hours with a moderate but very noticeable trail. Ideal for temperate climates and evening wear, because during the day it loses that mystery that the night amplifies. I fell in love with the scent and went into a depression when I found out it was being retired. Thanks to Casablanca77 for allowing me to know about it and guide me to get it.
One of my favourite fragrances for its incense notes, my great weakness. Besides, it reminds me of Kenzo ‘Oriental’, already discontinued, which was absolutely prodigious, with its slender transparent bottle and black poppy. I’ll never understand why such excellent fragrances as that one get discontinued.
I already mentioned in another review what I like about Kenzo Amour, so I wanted to get this ‘Le Parfum’ version, thinking it would be the same but more concentrated. However, although I didn’t dislike it, it was too much for me; I perceived the incense and patchouli on my skin much stronger than the vanilla, and I agree with a review that says it has an earthy note. It’s still a good perfume, but I kept it for special occasions; when I finished it, I didn’t buy any more from this line. I prefer Kenzo Amour eau de parfum and Flower by Kenzo.
Kenzo Amour with its vanilla and warm rice tea in a beautiful smoky variant, almost becomes a drug for me. It is the tenderness and sweetness of Amour, more adult and nocturnal, with a small wick burning away with incense, uniting two languages at once: the candour of the original with the sophistication of the incense. Rice pudding, vanilla and incense. Transversal oriental and western beauty, very special and rounded. What a pity it was withdrawn; it will surely be missed.
Kenzo Amour with its vanilla and warm rice tea in a beautiful smoky variant; it almost becomes a perfume drug for me. It’s the tenderness and sweetness of Amour, but more mature and nocturnal, perhaps with a small wick burning it down with incense, creating a perfume that unites two languages at once: the candour of the original Amour with the sophistication that incense always brings. Rice pudding + vanilla + incense. Transversal Eastern and Western beauty, very special and rounded. What a pity it was discontinued; I’m sure it will be greatly missed.
What a shame this ran out this weekend; it was one of my favourites. I managed to get it in a swap years ago because I didn’t know it when it first launched, and if I’d tried it sooner, I would have bought two bottles so I wouldn’t be without it. It’s a Kenzo Amour for the night, for the cold, and for hugs. The original Amour doesn’t really appeal to me, so I wouldn’t buy it now anyway, especially as I already have the Flower oriental which is similar, as the reviews say. I’m in mourning this week because it’s getting cold here.
