  • I had my expectations sky-high with this L’Eau Pure by Kenzo, and the bottle is simply gorgeous. I tried it yesterday: the opening is citrusy, fresh, and clean, just like the Mugler Cologne that no longer exists; I almost bought it without hesitation, but I decided to wait and was right. In the heart notes, the lavender is reminiscent of YSL Libre, which doesn’t quite convince me as it feels a bit dirty and heavy. The dry down is long, pleasant, clean, and musky, though it sits close to the skin. The longevity is good and the sillage is moderate. Totally unisex.

  • Name and scent match perfectly: smells incredibly clean, soft, and non-aggressive. If you like the Kenzo line, you’ll adore it. For me, once it dries down, it reminded me of my old Kenzo Homme (which I no longer wear), and I didn’t fancy that particular note; however, if you are a Kenzo fan, it’s a lovely, clean fragrance. Wear it on holiday to remember the trip.

If you’re nostalgic for Antonio Miró’s Cologne like me, this smells very similar. It smells clean (I know it’s a common phrase, but it’s true that it smells clean). The issue is overcoming the first 20 minutes where it literally smells like fabric softener. Before and after that, it’s wonderful, and I don’t find it similar to anything else I’ve smelled, except the Cologne, and at specific moments it reminds me of Mugler’s Cologne. That said, it projects little, for an hour, then stays close to the skin for another 4-5 hours. And then it disappears. I suppose it’s designed for reapplication or for someone to get very close to smell it. Right now, the only similar option is Eau des Merveilles Bleue by Hermès, but it’s worth double the price.

  • Kenzo creates a tender, familiar bubble of cleanliness that is very well executed. It’s that geometric, abstract scent of cleanliness, slightly fruity, floral, and synthetic, yet balanced. It’s a familiar fragrance that is always welcome because it feels welcoming. It smells like a classic cologne but with a modern punch thanks to the balance between natural and chemical elements. Kenzo is not what it used to be as the formulas have been simplified, but they still produce special proposals. This is one of them. No surprises or innovations, but a guaranteed success.

  • Kenzo designs an ethereal bubble of tender, familiar cleanliness, very well synthesised. It’s that geometric and abstract scent of cleanliness, a bit fruity, floral, and balanced synthetic. It’s a familiar and known scent that is always appreciated because it welcomes and embraces. It’s one of those that smells like the ‘classic’ cologne but with a more contemporary punch thanks to the synthesis of a balance between natural and chemical. Kenzo is no longer what it used to be as formulas have simplified over the years, but it still presents special and very desirable proposals. This is one of them. No surprises or innovations, but a sure success.

I was about to buy it but preferred to take my time and follow its evolution on skin all day. Finally, I decided against it. I love citrus, lavender, and the feeling of ‘cleanliness’, but there’s something in its dry-down that didn’t convince me… I suppose it’s that aquazone molecule (is it related to calone? I have no idea) which on my skin became too dry. What a pity!!! I wanted to do chemistry with this fragrance. P/D: L’Eau Pure (not to be confused, of course) sits in the same line as Sparkling Island as an ‘aquatic’ fragrance. But in this case, the 4711 never loses its citrus sparkle, and a gentler floral touch emerges at the end, at least to my taste.

I tested it on blotter and on skin two weeks ago. The blotter still retains its trace; I keep it in my toiletry bag and every time I open it, the scent projects. On my skin, of course, nothing remains, but the memory persists: in my nose, in my memory, like a soft and deep imprint. It seemed wonderful to me. Clean, luminous, citrusy, yes, but without harshness or astringent edge. Rather smooth, caressing, with a slight sweetness, like a sweet mandarin. Perhaps that citrus note is carried by the soothing profile of the lavender. A discreet fragrance. Totally marine. Like the breeze.

I tried it. I was eager to love it at first sniff, but I couldn’t. I feel it has an undeclared ginger note very present from the start, even reminding me of fresh ginger dishes or a salad. It’s totally unisex. Once it settles on skin, it becomes sweeter but still retains that fresh citrus lime or ginger scent. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it either.

I’ve seen many negative reviews, but I bought it blind and I love it. It’s fresh, ideal for spring and summer. It suits daytime wear and, depending on your skin, even cocktail hour. It’s fruity, fresh, with a base that gives longevity. I detect fruity notes mixed with aquazone and musk. On my skin, it smells feminine, but men can wear it too. I’m not sure I’d wear it at night due to my skin chemistry, but I adore it and it breaks away from Kenzo’s traditional mould. Thanks.

I see many negative reviews, but I bought it blind and absolutely love it. It’s fresh, ideal for spring and summer, for daily wear, and depending on the skin, even for cocktails. It’s fruity, fresh, and has a base that provides longevity. I detect fruity notes mixed with Aquozone and musk. For my skin, it feels feminine, but men can wear it too. I’m not sure if I’d wear it at night on my skin, but I love it and it breaks away from Kenzo’s tradition. Thanks.

This is one of my favourites; to me, it’s the pinnacle of fresh and light scents. But be warned, it doesn’t go unnoticed: on skin, it projects and lasts quite a while, something rare in fresh fragrances. This Kenzo has it. It shines more on hot days, though I wear it in the cold too for personal taste; it has a good bubble that wraps around you.

This is one of my favourites; the pinnacle of fresh and light scents, yet it doesn’t go unnoticed: it projects well and lasts, something hard to find in fresh fragrances. Kenzo has it. It shines more in the heat, but I also wear it in the cold because it has an aromatic bubble that envelops you and smells wonderful.

One reviewer said it smelled like a freshly washed hotel pillow… but no, it’s citrusy and rather uninteresting. I swear, I recommend Luna Rossa Carbon, Turathi, Kenzo Intense, and Versace Pour Homme a thousand times over.

  • L’Eau Pure by Kenzo is citrusy, aquatic, and aromatic. The opening is very aquatic with that Aquozone and citrus, bringing back memories of the 2000s. The musk is noticeable from the start. The development is almost linear: it begins citrusy and aquatic, adds flowers, and as it dries down, the musk and a touch of wood become apparent, very pleasant and fresh. It suits heat perfectly from spring through summer, is for daytime, and gives energy and freshness. Ideal for casual, daily wear, school, or the office. Its longevity is incredible for a fresh scent, lasting over eight hours with notable sillage. It doesn’t follow current trends but pays homage to the fresh scents of the 2000s. I’ve loved it immensely, it performs well, is unisex, and I think I would buy it.

I love it! It reminds me of Parfum d’Or from the 90s, although that one was more floral, this is very much in that style. Although I don’t declare it, I detect floral notes too. On my skin it feels like a jasmine. The lavender makes it somewhat unisex, but I consider that, although they tried to make something more current within the aromatic and marine style, they kept the Kenzo style that I love.

  • L’Eau Pure Kenzo is citrus, aquatic and aromatic. Citrus opening and very aquatic, with that Aquozone accord combined with cider and other citrus fruits that bring me back to the mid-2000s. You can also detect the musk from the start. The development is almost linear: it starts citrusy and aquatic, adds florals until reaching the dry-down with musk and a woody accord. It’s pleasant and fresh. Wearable in much heat from spring to summer, during the day, it gives energy and freshness. Occasions: casual, daily, school and office. Longevity for a freshie: very long-lasting, more than 8 hours with a noticeable trail. In summary, it doesn’t fit the current trend, it nods to the fresh, fruity and aquatic scents of the 2000s. I’ve liked it very much, good performance, unisex and I could buy it.

  • Pancho2275944

Interesting fragrance. Neither typically citrus nor typically marine, distinct with a Kenzo touch. It stands apart from current trends, I think the bottle design matches the perfume. Quite long-lasting for its type, I liked it.

An interesting fragrance. Neither typically citrus nor marine, it has its Kenzo touch. It stands apart from current trends, and I think the bottle complements the perfume. It is quite long-lasting for what it is, and I liked it.

  • It smells clean, yes, it has a nostalgic but rich vibe. Good for extreme heat; you wouldn’t take it out of there because that’s where it shines. It has a soft citrus scent at the start, the aquatic note is predominant along with sandalwood and musk. I’m not sure I like the lavender yet as I put it on a couple of hours ago. It lasts well, for me it’s very unisex, it’s like smelling freshly washed sheets.

Excellent. One of the best perfumes I have ever smelled. It reminds me of Windows Vista wallpapers full of bubbles. Excellent fragrance and I’m sure the 50ml bottle will be out soon. By the way, what a lovely bottle, like a little bubble. 9.3/10.

  • Citrus opening, fresh and beautiful, lasting, with luck, 15 minutes. Its dry-down sounded familiar until I realised: it’s identical to Gucci Bloom Aqua di fiori, only this lasts much longer. They share that ‘aqua’, I imagine it’s the Aquozone.

  • eri192391229

It became one of my favourites as soon as I smelled it. It’s citrusy, watery and clean. The lavender gives me a reminiscence of Libre Absolue Platine, but they aren’t the same in my opinion. I feel it’s elegant, relaxed and above all fresh. I’ve received compliments with this perfume!

  • I waited quite a while before finally daring to smell it. I bought it out of nostalgia for the 2000s and because it’s an EDP. It smells like a fabric softener, type Downy, which is very nice. Heavy citrus notes at first, slightly sweet. I like that it moves away from all the rubbish JPG, CH and Valentino have been releasing lately with vanilla, tonka bean and those foul fresh-sweet combinations. Here is something sweet that isn’t vanilla and is tolerable. Why is everything vanilla?
