Turathi Electric by Afnan

I only tested it on blotter paper; I need to try it on skin to see how long it lasts, but it smells lovely, lovely 🏖️💛. I wish I’d known about it sooner, as summer is ending here. I tested it alongside Art of Universe and they are different; both are fresh summer scents, but Turathi is fruitier, whereas Art of Universe dries down to a ginger-floral note.

Citrusy, sweet, slightly fruity, drying down to a musky, almost shower gel-like finish. Unisex, totally, no issues for women. It’s a soft, summery scent, rather boring, bringing nothing that isn’t found in similar fragrances, but with performance matching the price. Projection is scarce or tends to fade to skin scent very quickly; four hours of longevity if you’re generous. Honestly, I recommend going for Turathi Blue instead—a citrus that, although not my favourite, will last almost twice as long as this, or at least you’ll feel more scented. Try before you buy; don’t purchase blindly due to hype, there are many enthusiastic YouTubers around there. Cheers.

It’s good, but it doesn’t quite convince me. I bought Art of Universe, Thurathi Electric, and Odissey Limoni. If you’re looking for the strong DNA of Ex Nihilo, Art of Universe is the most potent; if you want a fresher, more citrusy opening, I’d go with Odissey Limoni. Thurathi Electric falls in the middle, neither one nor the other.

I have mixed feelings: I love this fragrance, its longevity is acceptable, but the projection is very poor. Perhaps it will improve with oxidation, maybe? Still, if I compare it to Art of Universe, I’d choose Turathi ten times over. Update 13/03/26: After a few months, I decided to buy it. The hype has diminished, autumn is approaching, and I felt like giving it a chance. I must admit the scent caught my attention greatly, as I once owned Maison Asrar Legacy, which is about 80% similar, but Turathi is fresher, lighter, and more versatile. As for longevity, it was a surprise: it fluctuated between seven and eight hours, very acceptable. And the projection was a comfortable two hours.

I can’t believe it, but it smells exactly like Antonio Banderas’s fragrance. What a quantity of dupes there are. The original is more masculine, but this Afnan version seems more feminine; my wife asked for it as a gift, and I had to give in.

To be honest, I bought the bottle purely for the visual appeal. It smells good—fresh and sweet, with a dry-down that leans feminine. It starts bright and citrusy, then mellows the acidity to highlight the fruit and that sweet note. By the end, the floral aspect dominates so much it could easily pass for a woman’s perfume. It lasts 3–4 hours on my skin, and the projection fades quickly: strong at first, then almost nothing.

To be honest, Turathi Electric surprised me. I bought it blindly. It’s a fresh perfume with citrus notes like mandarin and bergamot, excellent longevity, smells clean, masculine, elegant, and easy to wear. It has filled me with compliments so far; it’s one of my TOP 5.

To be honest, I wanted it for the bottle, which is a work of art. It’s a pleasant, easy, fresh, and sweet fragrance with a dry-down that tends towards the feminine. The opening is brilliant, quite citrusy and slightly sweet with fruity undertones. Within minutes, the citrus notes fade, leaving the fruity elements as the protagonist alongside that light sweetness. After an hour, the floral notes take over, and to be frank, it could be mistaken for a feminine fragrance. Longevity is 3-4 hours on my skin. It has an obvious downward projection curve: moderate for the first hour, then dropping until it’s very skin-scent.

I couldn’t believe it, but it bears a striking resemblance to Antonio Banderas’s scent. Incredible how many clones there are. Although AB’s version is more masculine, this one from Afnan seems a bit more feminine; my wife even asked for it as a gift, and I had to agree.

It reminds me of Blue Seduction by Antonio Banderas; it doesn’t smell bad, quite the opposite. Yes, like AB’s fragrances, the longevity behaves like an EDT. In Chile, it’s available for $43, completely driven by the hype.

Also tried this weekend. I had tried ‘Art of Universe’ some time ago and didn’t like it at all; I had this on my list because I’m a huge fan of Turathi Blue, but after learning they shared that Blue Talisman DNA, I didn’t want to jump in blindly. The opening was quite nice because it didn’t remind me of that AoU at all, but as time passed and the dry-down began, those brash citrus notes emerged that I didn’t like much. It’s fresh for everyday wear, but it’s not to my taste, and I’d recommend trying it before buying.

Very subtle and, to add variety, another feminine fragrance with hype, what a pity. Men will end up using women’s perfumes 100%. Few young men’s fragrances (is it an oud with leather for grandfathers or for girls?). They should produce good dupes of rich, masculine, and youthful perfumes like LV Meteore or Chanel Allure with current Arab quality. There is plenty to draw good men’s dupes from.

Arrived today and I’ve tried it; it smells great and very summery. It lasted about 4-5 hours, which is decent for something fresh, but the problem is it projects nothing; you can hardly smell it without pressing your nose against it. I’ll let it settle, and if it doesn’t improve, it’s going back in my collection. In my opinion, it doesn’t deserve the hype.

What a gem! It’s the citrusy, less cloying version of Blue Talisman with a more masculine twist. Those fresh, light scents are back (just like in the 90s), and this is undoubtedly one of the best. Projection: 8, Longevity: 10, Scent: 10, Value: 10, Gender: unisex masculine
