Descripción

Mystique Bouquet by Afnan is a fruity floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2024, this composition was created by perfumer Imran Fazlani. Upon release, the scent unfolds a vibrant accord of white peach, mandarin, bergamot, and lychee. The heart reveals floral and herbaceous elegance through peony, orange blossom, vetiver, and mahonia. Finally, the base settles with a warm, woody, and creamy trail formed by musk, ambroxan, oakmoss, and vanilla.

  • Mystique Bouquet opens more floral than Valaya and is similar, but the dry-down is synthetic with less than half the longevity and sillage. If you love Akigalawood by Parfums de Marly, it’s not here. For me, a thumbs down. Ciao.

  • Smells clean, not harsh or intrusive; soft yet characterful with lasting power. I detect floral-fruity notes, leaning more acidic than sweet. It lasts over eight hours without becoming cloying, with pleasant bursts as I move. Perfect for summer, it’s invigorating. I don’t compare it to Valaya on price, but if it outperforms that, it’s a real cracker.

  • Sweet and clean scent, no sillage, for personal enjoyment. The packaging is lovely, typical of Arab perfumes. It lasts about four hours on me.

  • A sweet and clean scent. It’s not a perfume that leaves a trail; it’s more for personal enjoyment. The packaging is pretty, as with almost all Middle Eastern perfumes. It has a longevity of about four hours on my skin.

I detect none of the fruit notes; for me, it’s pure flower and musk. I find it a lovely, elegant perfume, but it’s not to my taste.

I’ve just bought it and sprayed it for the first time. I’d read many highly-rated reviews before deciding. Upon trying it, I thought: who gave this the hype? I felt nothing special. The opening features lychee and lemon, with no trace of peach or tangerine. Within the first few minutes, it reminded me of the natural lemon insecticide we used at home; I know that sounds odd, but it smelled pleasant, though not suitable for wearing as a perfume. Occasionally, there was a whiff of poor-quality men’s cologne, which I didn’t enjoy. I believe Middle Eastern perfumes often smell unpleasant on the first spray but improve with time, so I left it sealed for a month. They say it’s refined, elegant and clean… personally, I don’t believe it. It smells like lemon soap; perhaps clean, but elegant? No, that’s not my concept of elegance. As it dried down, it improved, becoming floral and citrusy. Comparing it to Valaya is a stretch; the opening might recall it, but the dry-down is not similar; Valaya dries down better and lasts longer. Update: after a month, the masculine note has disappeared. I still don’t detect any peach or tangerine; it’s lemon and flowers when dried down. I maintain that it’s not elegant, but it’s fine for daily use, the office, or staying at home. It doesn’t seem like a special aroma for important events. Longevity: good, easily around six hours. Sillage: low, quite intimate. Packaging: 10, it looks beautiful as a gift; the bottle is gorgeous. Would I buy it again: no.

  • I didn’t like it at all. I tried it several times, but it was far too sharp and synthetic. I simply couldn’t get on with it.

  • It’s a lovely, tender floral, though very sweet for my taste. The opening is sharp, but it softens within 10 minutes. The longevity is good, lasting over six hours.
