I hadn’t tried this 2014 release before. I’ve already sampled Valaya (2023) by the same Quentin Bisch, and the resemblance is incredible, which bothers me a bit. Valaya is a reinvention of Fleur Narcotique. What a pity that self-plagiarism. This isn’t about taste; both are exquisite. But believe me, I ask for creativity. Anyway…
Smells very soft and floral, then the fruity note emerges, between soft peach and lychee. It’s true it doesn’t project much, but it’s still noticeable. It’s not as elegant as they claim, more fresh, clean, and feminine. I took advantage of a discount and added it to my collection. ___ After some time, it doesn’t quite endear itself to me. Once more macerated, it smells like unsweetened flower and fruit, almost insipid. It does smell fresh, but for the price, there are fragrances much better. Not recommended.
Disappointing 😮💨😮💨. For what you pay (an absolute fortune), it projects nothing, lasts nothing, and isn’t that extraordinary perfume the undeserved HYPE makes you believe 🤷🤷. If it happened to you as it did to me, save yourself the trouble and a few quid 💲💲 with a clone/inspiration; the Dua ones are excellent and last a lifetime 🥰🥰. If you don’t know them or they’re hard to find, any of Maison Alhambra or Lattafa is easy to source.
I feel this perfume isn’t unique and doesn’t drive me wild. I tried to make myself love it because the hype made me want the full bottle, but I don’t feel the price is justified. I’m not sure if I’m the only one who senses a resemblance to Oriana, but it’s much subtler and less potent.
It’s a soft perfume, fruity opening, lasting floral. It doesn’t project much nor have a strong trail, but I love it. It’s one of those that works superbly in hot weather; it’s not intoxicating but you feel it with you all day, sweetie. Very similar to Valaya but softer and sweeter. If you like Valaya or Delina, you’ll love this. One of my best purchases this year!!!
There were too many good reviews, so I decided to try it despite not liking florals/fruity notes. I thought it would blow my mind and I didn’t like it… In the opening, it reminded me of Delina (which I don’t like), that lychee and bergamot scent followed by flowers like peony. If you like Delina, you’ll surely like this, but in the case of Fleur Narcotique, it seems much softer, only perceptible at skin level, less memorable, and its price isn’t justified. Rating 7/10 Originality 6/10.
I was swayed by the name…Narcotic Flower…and thought it would be brilliant for spring, as I have few options for those days. The truth is, I didn’t like it: it is a very soft floral, almost skin-scented, and very linear. It lasts a long time on the skin but projects nothing. It has nothing narcotic or captivating about it. Perhaps it would suit someone looking for a balanced floral, but to me, the price isn’t justified.
I let myself be led by the name… Narcotic Flower… it’s spring and I, being a winter perfume person, with few options for spring days, thought it would be brilliant. The truth is, I haven’t liked it. It’s a very, very soft floral, skin-level, very linear. It lasts long on the skin, yes, but with no projection, nothing narcotic or captivating to spark my interest. Perhaps it might suit someone looking for a balanced floral for personal use, but to me, its price is hardly justified.
