  Korloff for Men has been a delightful surprise. It belongs to the woody-spicy family, with notes reminiscent of Montblanc Explorer or Armaf Club de Nuit Intense EDP. It’s also often compared to Creed Green Irish Tweed and Hermès Bel Ami; being in the same family, I can assure you that in terms of quality and projection, it stands shoulder to shoulder with Bel Ami, if not surpassing it. It’s a refined and elegant scent, calling for elegance and informal gatherings, with good longevity and fixation, but a ‘controlled’ and soft sillage. The quality of the ingredients and the blend seems very well suited for autumn and spring. If you find it at a good price, enjoy fragrances from this olfactive family, and are looking for something more elegant and of higher quality, this is the one for you. The downside is that it’s somewhat limited in versatility; it’s not for every occasion. This screams smart shirt, meeting suit, tuxedo, bow tie, or necktie, and it suits going to the opera perfectly.
