Excellent price-to-quality ratio. I use the EDP and it is truly long-lasting, with a very good balance in the evolution of the notes. At first, it looks simple, but after 2 or 3 minutes on the skin, the mix of notes emerges and it stops being indifferent; it surprises and is masterful. It is a fragrance for men with personality, not for children. Longevity over 6 hours and a very good trail.

First impression, March 2020: It arrived four days ago along with the Azure. Due to the hustle and the heat, the first spray annoyed me; it seemed suffocating, extremely sweet, generic, and synthetic. I left it to rest in the closet. Today, with the liquid settled and at room temperature, I tested it again on the nape, behind the ears, and on the wrists. Oh! A striking, intense, and enveloping blend. Violet and papyrus predominate; the moss feels fresh, like in the shade of a large tree, blending with the earthiness of the declared note. At times I feel a nasal tickle from the pepper and incense. In the background, a sweet tobacco, not cloying despite the habanero and sweet notes. Almost four hours have passed since application and the trail is still heavy. I will conduct another test with fewer sprays. For now, I like it and believe it exceeded my expectations, especially given the price of 100ml (around $37, approx. 700 pesos with shipping and taxes before depreciation due to oil and the coronavirus).

I arrived in March 2020 and the first outing shocked me: very sweet, synthetic, and it suffocated me. I left it to rest in the wardrobe, and today, at room temperature, what a change! Violet and papyrus dominate, with fresh moss in the shade of a tree and an earthy touch. At times I feel a tickle of pepper and incense, and at the base a sweet tobacco without being cloying. After four hours the trail is still heavy. I love it and it exceeded my expectations for the price.

Price-to-quality ratio of 10. The EDP is a beast: it lasts over six hours and leaves a magnificent trail. At first it seems simple, but after three minutes on the skin it explodes into a masterful blend that surprises. Ideal for men with character, not for children.

  • I quite like this Bentley line; they are synthetic scents that evoke luxury and seriousness, with good performance and ridiculous prices. This is the only flanker I hadn’t tried and almost bought blind, but I managed to get a decant and saved myself. The opening is chaotic, ill-defined, with oranges and violets… what is this? Then the dry-down doesn’t improve; it is so synthetic that identifying notes is difficult, I only catch a very blurred violet reminiscent of Fahrenheit. It seems very generic, smelling of everything and nothing. I definitely won’t get the full bottle; it makes no sense. Performance is moderate, not the beastliness of Absolute or Intense, but it works. Comparisons with Chanel Bleu TF Noir don’t seem accurate, but with that jumble of disparate notes, it might remind each person of something else. It has little to do with Bentley Men, Intense, or Absolute. Calling it ‘Black’ is misleading; it is more of a transitional fragrance, versatile, that doesn’t call attention but is easy to like.

It’s not the ‘beast mode’ of its sibling, but its opening and longevity are correct. It seems to have personality, although one might expect more given its Black Edition presentation. Overall, very acceptable.

It’s not a ‘beast mode’ like its sibling, but its performance and longevity are adequate. It has its own personality, though I expected more given its Black Edition presentation. Overall, very acceptable.

This perfume helped me realise that I don’t perceive scents well with pepper notes. This arose with Kenzo Homme, which wasn’t the ‘beast mode’ they claimed. Returning to this, its longevity exceeds 6 hours, but the scent is confusing, barely noticeable, and smells synthetic; at times I feel it smells powdery. I recommend trying it first; it may not be what you expect.

It feels like a battle between four ingredients while the rest act as supporting players. I bought it blindly after my good experience with Bentley Azure; at $47, it was an opportunity I couldn’t miss. The Black Edition bottle is heavy and robust, shouting luxury. At first, everything fights for the spotlight: tobacco, violet, moss, and earthy notes. The secondary notes (pink pepper, nutmeg, incense, cedar) are barely noticeable. The rest (patchouli, jasmine, orange, etc.) are imperceptible. It lasts 5-6 hours, which is little for an EDP, and the trail is discreet but constant. Suitable for almost all seasons except winter. I loved its behaviour on skin, though it would have been perfect with an extra 2 or 3 hours.

It feels like a confrontation between four ingredients while the rest of the blend acts as an enabler. I bought it blind due to good references and curiosity, wanting to follow in the footsteps of Bentley Azure. At $47, it was an opportunity I couldn’t miss. I love the combination of ingredients and the bottle: heavy, robust, and of good quality. Upon removing the cap, it smells of luxury. What most confused me was the opening, a mix where four notes fight for the spotlight. On my skin, after a few sprays, I perceived tobacco, violet, moss, and earthy notes. In the background, very moderate, there is pink pepper, nutmeg, incense, and cedar. The rest (patchouli, jasmine, orange, sweets, papyrus, and habanero) is barely noticeable. The longevity isn’t great, around 5 or 6 hours (a bit low for an EDP), and the trail is discreet, reaching an arm’s length, but consistent. Almost ideal for any season except winter. I loved how it behaved, better than expected, though it would have been nice if it lasted 2 or 3 hours longer.

  • A very rich fragrance from the start; the violet is noticeable with the citrus, especially the orange and pepper. These latter notes fade gradually while the violet remains, dropping in the heart phase but always present, blending with something sweeter from the habanero and wood. That violet will remind you of Fahrenheit, another fragrance that brings memories. Good performance, nothing beastly.

  • I was searching for that earthy patchouli and found it. 🍃 It was a late discovery; at first, I thought it was cheap, with mandarin and a ‘retired gentleman’ base. However, continued use, along with compliments from family and friends, convinced me. It gives a clean, masculine sensation, like after watering the lawn. Although it is a heavy scent, it works brilliantly in the heat without being oppressive. I use it all year round: at night, during the day, at the gym, for meals, in cold or warm weather. It’s not just for me, but it always attracts attention.

  • The earthy patchouli you need 🍃. I bought it thinking it was cheap with a tangerine top and a ‘retired gentleman’ base. As I kept using it, days passed and I received compliments from family and friends. It gives a masculine, clean, and grounded sensation, like after watering the lawn. Although it’s a heavy scent, it works brilliantly in the heat without being overwhelming. I consider it ALL SEASON: night, day, gym, dinners, cold or hot weather. It’s not just for me, but it always attracts glances from my acquaintances.

  • The Bentley Infinite Intense starts with an unparalleled force. I enjoy the rest of the collection, but nothing surpasses this opening.

  • I own all three Bentley Black Editions, along with Absolute and Intense. While none are bad, Black is simply the least appealing to me. The longevity is moderate: about an hour and a half of projection, followed by a skin scent lasting around four hours. The opening reminds me of a classic from my childhood, but that nostalgia makes me feel old. The initial notes are rich and sparkling, promising much, yet upon drying, an undefinable touch appears that strips away the magic. Nevertheless, it’s perfect for everyday wear; you can apply 10 or 12 sprays without fear and reapply if you wish.
