  I received a sample yesterday and it’s wonderful. It’s a hybrid blending at least three fragrances; at first it smells like Neroli Portofino mixed with Le Male Pride Edition 2022, and as it dries down, it’s almost identical to John Varvatos Artisan Pure. Although it doesn’t win on originality, it’s a compliment machine and has better performance than the other two.

  Bravo. Another knock-off similar to Neroli Portofino, but with a more pompous and ridiculous name.

  I tested a sample and loved it, but it sounded familiar until I saw it’s almost identical to Dior’s Pure Poison. I still like it, but I’m sure the Dior price is more economical.

  It’s a classic perfume that follows in the footsteps of others without adding anything new. The performance is just about right, and for that price and lack of novelty, it doesn’t come close to niche or luxury; it’s more akin to John Varvatos than Tom Ford. My advice: try it before buying and let it dry for a few hours before deciding.

  Although Memoires de Mustique isn’t a genius of originality, it does its job well. The neroli dominates and is sharp at first, but softens with woody nuances, a sweet touch, and that rough texture of osmanthus. I liked it in the trial, but the value for money isn’t the best if there are similar options. In the end, most people prefer smelling rich and good at a decent price rather than hunting for extra notes. It lasts quite a while, is unisex, and perfect for spring and summer. Rating: 7/10, tested on Discovery Set.
