  Agneta, what a cool name for such a beautiful fragrance. It comes in a 50ml extract format, more than enough. Upon spraying, a brutal quality cardamomo, spicy with a bitter touch. It reminds me of Clive Christian X, but better – a pleasure for fans of this note. Within minutes it blends with my skin and a cinnamon-spiced coffee appears, sweetened, which I adore. What beauty! That cardamomo and coffee accompany the entire life of the perfume, passing through several very evolutionary phases, until settling into an amber-musked coffee base. The scent is a marvel, top quality and the longevity holds up. It is not in beast mode, but it is noticeable. 9/10

  Agneta, what a lovely name for such a beautiful fragrance. It arrives in a 50ml extract, more than sufficient. At first, a cardamomo of extremely high quality, spicy with a bitter note. It recalls what is in Clive Christian X, but I would say it is much better and a delight for those who love that note. After a few minutes on the skin, a cinnamon-spiced coffee appears, slightly sweetened, which I adore. What beauty! That cardamomo and coffee accompany the entire life of the perfume, passing through several very evolutionary phases, until settling into an amber-musked coffee base. The scent is a marvel, excellent quality and the longevity holds up. It is not a beast mode, but it is noticeable. 9/10

  I wonder if Agneta comes from ‘Agnes’, meaning lamb, as in the Agnus Dei, or perhaps from its association with cleanliness. Maybe the latter fits better. It is not about the musk or soapy notes, but the beauty of the name reflecting its warm scent. The official website clarifies it is named after Gianni Agnelli’s yacht, yet it is not aquatic as some claim. It deserves to be classified as niche: it opens with coffee and cardamomo, balanced and unctuous thanks to the sandalwood, enveloping you in the exquisite without being gourmand. It lasts around two hours, cocooning you with background spices. Then the incense appears, barely, and the Oud becomes more present yet clean, playing with the shadows of coffee and cardamomo. The culinary delight fades, turning dark, but that is a lie: the coffee and cardamomo are reborn, softer and ambered, real as memories. There are no shrill notes or shouts in Agneta; every chord knows its place. It is pure and delicate balance, beauty without artifice, hence its elegance. Unisex? Despite the name and the majority opinion, I do not see Agneta on a woman’s skin, but I hope I am wrong; it is so beautiful it deserves any body. Less suitable for summer, it performs well in any season, though its true element is autumn and winter. Proof that perfumery is art: its handicap is the price, a unique 50ml extract in retail for over €250.
