It’s not a dominant patchouli like in Reminiscense, but a blend where it’s present yet surrounded by other scents. The name Patchouli 1969 is misleading as it’s neither forceful nor overwhelming. I find it super unisex and very pleasant, accompanying without being overpowering, and it lasts wonderfully on skin and clothes. The price is the only thing that doesn’t convince me. At first, it smells a bit like Histoires de Parfums’ Patchouli Noir, but as it dries down, it becomes kinder with a sweet hint of anise or licorice. I like it, but after trying the decant, I won’t buy it because there are patchoulis I love more; however, I highly recommend it to lovers of this note as it has its own character.
