Ambre Mythique boils down to two words: aromatic amber. From the very first moment, it’s warm, sweet, and slightly powdery, yet its fougère soul makes it unique. Within minutes, the lavender and coriander dance with the oriental notes; the lavender is very clear, and a bitter green accord gives it a classic feel, reminiscent of Magno soaps. Then comes the resinous, smoky side from the incense, myrrh, and labdanum, before drying down into a voluptuous amber with vanilla and that base sweetness. It has a creamy texture when dry. Performance is a bomb: it exceeds 11 hours and projects strongly at the start. Cold weather: autumn, winter, or spring nights. A precious amber.
It’s a beast for amber fans, regardless of gender. Very versatile, woody, warm, and with a spicy touch, but what really kills it is its projection and longevity: it lasts 9/10 hours. Ideal for autumn, winter, or fresh spring days. It has many nuances, but ultimately it’s a resinous blend that screams fine amber with sublime vanilla. The patchouli, incense, and myrrh are noticeable from afar, while the coriander is only present at the start. Best for special occasions or evening wear; it’s seductive. I love it and want to try more from this house. Rating: 10/10.
