Appealing for summer due to its marine, woody, and resinous nature. It evokes a beach with vegetation and a forest impregnated with salt that evaporates in the sun. Its beauty lies in the contrast between the resins and the chemical notes of the sea, a unisex, perennial, and familiar result that takes us to summer landscapes. For me, it evokes the Landes, but it’s an easy, universal scent that everyone would like. Ideal for lovers of resinous notes, forest, and sea.
It mixes familiar things: Kenzo’s misty violets, Hermann to Mes Cotes’ fungal incense, and Santal 33’s pickled sandalwood. I prefer not to use references. It’s fresh and acidic, like pure sandalwood oil, but not heavy because it dissolves in aquatic breezes. As it dries, the violet adds a earthy, rainy moisture.
Mixes familiar notes: misty violets, acidic incense, and pickled sandalwood. But I’d describe it better without references. It’s fresh and acidic, like pure sandalwood oil, without being heavy or aggressive; it dissolves into aquatic breezes, and as it dries, that hazy violet earthiness makes it more earthy.
Marine, fresh, and with depth. After a day full of adult life disappointments, such as seeing ignorant professionals or reviewers without proper spelling, it’s curious to want to return to something like Sous Le Pont Mirabeau rather than give up. It’s not the fifth wonder of the marine world, but it doesn’t seek banality. It enters sharp and chemical at first, with an ozone and green air. Then comes the woody sea, not from a dock but from a forest meeting the beach. It reminds me of the Galician rías or Asturias. Perhaps for the French it evokes Apollinaire’s poem. It’s neither difficult nor insipid, versatile for heat where it projects well; in cold it fades. I liked it, recommend trying it but don’t buy blindly.
Santal 33 with fig, that’s the point. The latest from ELDO has left me indifferent. It performs just as well as the original, but there’s a Zara, Energetically New York, that smells very similar. In the end, it’s a bit boring.
Fresh, marine, and woody, it smells clean. It has a very designer aroma, as if Kenzo Homme and The Matcha had a child. Longevity and trail are moderate.
Sous le Pont Mirabeau is pretty, simple, and lovely. It has that sticky, resinous DNA of the house, with turpentines and oils. The pink pepper lasts a breath, waking things up at first, then refreshing before immersing us in a tactile, sleepy universe: freshly painted cupboards, pony brushes stained with linseed oil. It’s almost photorealistic, like a window onto June in a French studio with a young fig tree. A good mix of memories for anyone who has painted in spring. Intimate projection, dry down to a bearable sweetness, though longevity is questionable, as is often the case with ELDO.
Beautiful, simple, and lovely, though brief. It falls short of other offerings from the house like Frustration or Experiment regarding that sticky, resinous, oil-and-turpentine DNA. The pink pepper lasts a mere breath, awakening at the start, but then we move into that tactile, sleepy universe of freshly painted cupboards and brushes stained with linseed oil. It’s almost photorealistic: an open window to June in a French cottage with a young fig tree. A good blend of memories. Anyone who has painted in spring by an open window knows what I mean. Intimate projection, dry with a bearable sweetness, but the longevity is questionable, as is often the case with almost all ELDO, which is a pity.
I don’t get much marine here; it leans more towards Moncler Pour Homme or Santal 33. It smells of sandalwood and woods with something extra that sets it apart. It’s soft, gentle, with moderate projection and decent longevity. It has body and envelops in a warm halo, ideal for the office or enclosed spaces without being intrusive. If you like Santal 33, you’ll surely love this.
I tried this perfume and I barely sense anything marine. Having tried Moncler pour Homme and Santal 33, I’d say this Etat leans more in that direction. It smells of sandalwood and woods, with something extra that sets it apart, but I don’t sense marine notes nor associate it with Kenzo EDT Intense. Sous Le Pont Mirabeau is soft, kind, with moderate projection and good longevity. It has body, envelops in warmth without being winter-appropriate, and is versatile. Ideal for the office or enclosed spaces because it’s not intrusive. I liked it a lot and wouldn’t hesitate to buy it if there’s an opportunity. If you like Santal 33, you’ll surely like this one.
It’s a marine-green-woody scent that smells a bit commercial. Compared to other fragrances from the brand I’ve tried, it feels somewhat flat. That said, the scent is pleasant and easy to wear, totally unisex.
It’s a pleasant marine-green-woody perfume, it could pass as commercial. I find it a bit plain, very different from other ELDO creations I’ve tried. Although the scent is very pleasant and easy to wear, it is absolutely unisex.
Although within the ELDO family it may seem the most ‘normal’ option, it possesses a magical touch that makes it both original and effortlessly wearable. The balance between the fig note and that aquatic-ozone vibe is top-notch. What truly surprises me is its incredible longevity; I’ve worn clothes with that salty hint days after just two sprays. Hard not to enjoy it.
