  Tropical exotic delight: It resembles Xerjoff’s Erba Pura only in the opening until the fourth hour (afterwards it changes drastically on my skin). That initial phase is what keeps Stricnina going from start to finish. It has no defined olfactive family but is floral-fruity, dominating the fruity side with juicy, exotic, and tropical sensations. It brings to mind Jamaica: crystal-clear turquoise waters with a basket of peaches, passion fruit, carambolas, and raspberries. All with a creamy, sweet touch that tames the acidity without losing luminosity. Although it’s unisex, it leans towards the feminine. If you like summer perfumes, this is a more long-lasting and cosmopolitan option. Ideal for casual or formal wear in spring/summer, day or night (more so at night). Performance is excellent, around 8-10 hours, dropping in intensity by the second hour. Would I buy it again? Absolutely, yesiiii.

  Stricnina is a super sweet and fruity scent but nothing childish; it has nuances that make it a dreamy adult perfume yet still youthful. What I love most is the passion fruit, vanilla, amber, and that fleshy peach, while the citrus balances the sweetness. The musk appears as it dries down after a few hours. I would wear it all year round, at any time. Its trail is wide (more than an arm’s length), but my pH is complicated and it absorbs it quickly as if eating it; it vanishes magically although it accompanies me for about five or six hours. It’s mind-blowing, I love it, and it’s addictive. It seems a bit more feminine, but any man would enjoy it too. For me, it’s made to my measure. Despite the longevity, I give it a 10 out of 10.

  It feels like a sweet, fruity explosion. On my skin, the peach, raspberry, and passion fruit take centre stage, while vanilla, magnolia, citrus, musk, and amber form a soft background. I didn’t notice the cinnamon at all. Although the box says ‘sweet floral’ and ‘woody’ notes, what matters is that it smells like real flowers and carries sandalwood. Top notes: passion fruit, lemon, blackcurrant, and bergamot. Heart notes: magnolia, ylang-ylang, fig leaf, peach, cinnamon, and raspberry. Base notes: vanilla, brown sugar, sandalwood, red patchouli, musk, and amber.
