  Halley opens with acidic fruits (passion fruit and peach) and a mint note that refreshes it. Then comes a white musk like fine soap, followed by warm amber and cinnamon, and closes with subtle woods. It never loses that fruity acidity from the start. Is it pretty? Yes. Have you heard it before? Also. The truth is, although the ingredients smell expensive, I think the price is excessive for a classic little fruity scent with nothing to set it apart. There’s no need to reinvent the wheel, but there must be something that makes you wear it; this doesn’t give me that. Longevity 10+ hours, moderate projection.

  Lighter than Stricnina, almost identical. If you like that scent, go for Stricnina instead; it’s much cheaper.

  It’s a tropical bomb with vanilla and musk on full blast. It competes with Erba Pura and Kirke, but Halley hooks me more. It smells fruity and dark, with character. It’s unisex, though it leans feminine; a man wears it perfectly. It’s elegant and high quality, yet it doesn’t break the mould because it uses a very familiar DNA. If you catch it cheap, it’s worth it, but paying over $180 makes no sense when there are better alternatives.
