I’m a fan of fragrances with a story, and I picked this up at a ridiculous price. Of course, it’s not for everyone. My wife found it a bit ‘plastic and greasy’ when dry, which I don’t notice at all. On my skin, the rose and polished woods take centre stage, with a subtle oud note in the background that adds depth to the wood but nothing more: just rose and woods. Although it’s an extrait, it’s very skin-close and lasts a maximum of six hours in fresh weather. I wouldn’t recommend it if you don’t enjoy niche perfumery, are looking for something powerful, or aren’t a fan of rose accords.
