There's a Place by Francesca dell'Oro is an oriental floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2019, this composition features an olfactory pyramid designed by the perfumer who created it. The top notes reveal black pepper, saffron, and English pepper (allspice). The heart of the fragrance unfolds a floral harmony with rose, orange blossom, and sweet acacia. Finally, the base notes offer a warm and enveloping foundation of patchouli, balsam of Peru, cashmere wood, vanilla, labdanum, and tonka bean.

I bought this fragrance for my wife in Rome in 2019 at a perfumerie near the Vatican. The owner, after selling me some perfumes (I absolutely love those old-school shops full of hidden treasures), chided me for not buying anything for her and recommended this scent that had just arrived. I can only say that every time she wears it, I lose my senses. Alongside Battito d’ali by Profumum Roma, these are my favourites on her. The longevity is superb; on her skin it lasts a full 12 hours without issue. Recently we left early for a wedding at 7pm, and the next day at 9am the scent was still detectable without needing to be close to her skin. Its spicy note strikes a perfect balance with the patchouli, orange blossom and labdanum; I don’t clearly perceive the other notes, such as the rose, for example. Perfumes, like colours, are personal, but this one is exceptional: every time she wears it, I recognise it instantly and it drives me wild. I recommend it wholeheartedly, but given the price, it’s best to try it first.
