Not all perfumeries have it yet, but I found it by chance yesterday. As an absolute fan of Juicy Couture, I have the Noir and the original. The latter (criticised by some for being insipid) personally seems to me a very good perfume, with quite good longevity for me to smell it myself for an entire workday, although not as intense projection. Still, I wouldn’t change it for anything in my daily life. Well, when I could apply this treasure yesterday, don’t tell me the bottle isn’t enchanting, in the top notes it reminds me directly of the original Viva la Juicy. When a few hours passed, it went to something sweeter, like a chew, and the powerful base of sweet vanilla with cocoa. The finish surprised me a lot. Compared to the others from the brand, it has a very powerful base. Very good longevity, better than the original. The best among its sisters. Warning, it’s heavy, the base is very gourmand.
There was an error in the posting of my Viva la Juicy La Sucré review, but it’s the one right below that was posted as ‘guest’. I take this opportunity to thank all the participants in this space because they build this valuable archive of information on so many perfumes. I enjoy reading all your opinions and they’ve motivated me to leave mine. I’ve also tried new perfumes based on the opinions in this space, it’s made me research others, and I think it’s quite constructive. Thanks!
I just left the perfume shop and the assistant showed me this for the coming winter; I fell in love at first sight. It makes you want to eat it, very gourmand, as the previous review says, but with a very elegant and clean touch. Perhaps that’s why it doesn’t suit everyone. I still have a hint of vanilla and something else I can’t quite identify on my wrist. I didn’t know it, but at least for this season I’ll certainly use it a lot.
A sweet and soft aroma, with a creamy vanilla scent. Good trail but poor longevity. Nevertheless, I loved it and the packaging is a marvel. I was fascinated.
I didn’t like it at all, too sweet, it’s the kind of perfume that gives you a headache. Also, it doesn’t have good longevity and it’s too expensive for what it offers. That said, the bottle is a beauty.
The smell is very rich. Unfortunately, it lasts nothing on my skin, it vanishes in minutes. I wouldn’t buy it again.
I wanted this perfume with all my soul and saved my pennies (it’s not cheap) to have it, because I thought it would be like smelling Willy Wonka’s factory… but it turned out to be just another perfume. Sweet yes, but I expected a cloying sweetness that would make my mouth water (like the beautiful bottle) and I was left wanting. Yes, the scent is pleasant… BUT I WANT SUGAR, sugar, SUGAR!!!! (and I say it with wide eyes like an addict).
Super pleasant, makes you want to eat a little pastry. My friend had it, and whenever she came to work, I’d ask if she’d brought biscuits or sweets, and she’d say: ‘it’s my perfume’. Until one day I visited her and she showed me the empty bottle. I said: ‘no, why did you finish it?’. She said she was fed up with Juicy Couture and used it up as a room freshener, as her boyfriend had gifted her the whole collection.
Smells rich but vanishes in a breath. I expected a sugar explosion and diabetes, but no; it’s sweet, creamy, like whipped cream, gorgeous, yet gone in three seconds. The bottle is a work of art, nobody can resist it, but the ‘true diva’ concept doesn’t fit with a scent that’s not very sweet and so fleeting. I bought it in the outlet for $10 and the bottle alone is worth it. I’d buy it again at that price, but I wouldn’t pay full price for its poor performance.
Very tasty, but it’s another one of the crowd of gourmand perfumes on the market; that said, it’s a very beautiful package.
It was a blind purchase; as soon as I saw it in some videos I said ‘Oh my goodness’, but what a beautiful bottle and I fell in love. Afterwards, inspired by the comments, I searched and found it. When I tried it, it was fascinating; I really loved it, I’m totally in love, and those who have smelled it have liked it quite a bit. Highly recommended, I would buy it again without a doubt.
This perfume is a delight. It’s one of those that wins you many compliments and people ask: What perfume are you wearing? It’s delicious, you feel like you’re amongst cakes… I would definitely buy it again.
EXQUISITE! I love it. The notes of whipped cream, almonds, and cocoa make this perfume (discontinued, oh dear!) a delight. I compared it with Sweet Like Candy and although the opening is similar, the longevity is totally different: SLC is like a fruity cake, whereas VLJS is caramelised and warmer. Ufff, exquisite! If it were available again, I’d buy at least three bottles.
I met this perfume a few years ago at a friend’s house, she had received it as a gift and didn’t care for it, even went so far as to tell me she thought the smell was a bit boring… I’d never tried it but when I sprayed it on my skin, it was love at first sniff. However, at that time my chances of buying it were nil as I wasn’t working yet. When I finally could buy it, I started searching only to find the news that it was discontinued. What?, why did they discontinue such a beautiful scent? That was the only thing I wondered. Since then my search began and I had the opportunity to acquire a 50ml tester presentation, which I wanted to use drop by drop because although I loved it, I only had 50ml and didn’t want to finish it ever. After some time and resigned to keeping only that presentation due to its scarcity; thanks to this page, a girl from Guadalajara sent me a message to sell me a 100ml piece… I didn’t think much and it just arrived in my hands. I leave this story because for a while I was really obsessed with this perfume and it got frustrating because I couldn’t get it and when I forgot about it and let it go (because I already had a smaller presentation) it came to me alone, without effort, into my life. Sometimes it happens like that. The obsession to have more and more can blind us and make us forget to enjoy and appreciate what we already have. It’s a delicious, warm, cosy scent, on me it has very good longevity, my boyfriend loves it, it’s feminine, it’s sweet but without being overwhelming, I even find it sexy… I love it and I’ll take very good care of it. I think it will be my perfume for special occasions.
I met this perfume years ago at a friend’s house; she didn’t care for it, even saying it seemed a bit plain. I’d never tried it, but when I applied it to my skin, it was love at first sniff. Then I didn’t have the money to buy it, and when I finally could, I discovered it was discontinued. Why did they remove such a lovely aroma? Since then, I searched and managed to find a 50 ml tester, which I wanted to use drop by drop as I didn’t want it to run out. After some time, resigned to making do with that due to its scarcity, thanks to this site a girl from Guadalajara messaged me to sell me a 100 ml bottle. I didn’t think twice and it arrived. I’m leaving this because I was obsessed and frustrated by not being able to get it; when I let go, it simply came into my life. Sometimes things happen like that. Obsession blinds us and makes us forget to enjoy what we have. It’s a delicious, warm, and cosy scent, lasts a long time, my boyfriend loves it, it’s feminine, sweet but not overpowering, and I find it sexy. I adore it and will take very good care of it. I think it will be my perfume for special occasions.
Hello community, I’m new here and it’s such a shame this beautiful perfume isn’t available. If any of you know or know where I can get it, I’d be very grateful if you could let me know. Many thanks.
This scent is my favourite; there’s just a little bit left in the bottle. It’s the one that receives the most praise; people, without even knowing me, would ask me especially at work. It’s a pity it didn’t last long on the skin and is no longer sold. I love it.
I gave it a simple try, and after letting it settle, I decided to give it another chance. What a surprise! The dry-down smells delicious, very creamy with cocoa and vanilla. It’s chocolatey without being bitter, something I didn’t like in the previous version. The sandalwood, whipped cream, and vanilla make it super creamy, like a hot chocolate, with very soft floral and peach notes that give it body without being an overwhelming literal scent. Very tasty.
It smells lovely; it’s gourmand but nothing special. I understand why, as being discontinued and having a collectible bottle makes it unique, yet the scent is 97% identical to Katy Perry’s Meow. The longevity is poor, lasting only 3-4 hours.
Finally, this fragrance has made its way back to the market, my loves!
I’ve just got it and it smells very much like Cloud by Ariana Grande. Very sweet and the packaging is divine.
Oh my goodness! Now that it’s back in stock I need it soooooooooo much, helppp!
If you like perfumes like Ariana Grande, Mad Love by Katy Perry, White Magnolia by Loewe, Pacha 24/7, Bonbon de V&R… this is a guaranteed buy. It’s not a dupe of any of them but is in the same league. They say it’s in the vein of Fancy (which I don’t like). It’s super lactonic and delicious. I don’t see it as very projecting or potent; I wish it were more intense and long-lasting, but it’s still delicious. Of all the ones mentioned, this is the one I liked the most.
I don’t know what this perfume was like when it first launched because everyone says you can detect the vanilla and whipped cream… but as of today in 2023, upon its relaunch, it resembles the dry-down of Bonbon de V&R but of inferior quality. I don’t sense the whipped cream or vanilla; it’s quite floral and a bit sweet, doesn’t smell good, seems poorly made, the notes don’t combine, it’s extremely synthetic and gives me nausea, it smells like plastic. It’s not worth the cost, I’ll be selling it.
I loved the packaging and the marketing. I bought it blindly, and when I tried it in the perfumery it was super delicious. If you’re a gourmand lover, you’ll love it. I don’t think it’s a dupe of anything; it seems like a gem and fits the Ariana Grande style, which I prefer.
I bought it this autumn in 2023 after testing it on skin. It’s the first perfume I’ve owned in over six years due to health issues. I adore vanilla and didn’t want something intense. To me, it’s sweet without being cloying, soft, milky, with a subtle and pleasant citrus touch, and a hint of peach or summer ripe fruit. It’s warm and comforting, enveloping and embracing. It doesn’t project much, which I appreciate. Lasts four to six hours…
Sweet, sweet, sweet until it becomes overwhelming. If you like perfumes that smell only sweet with no standout notes, and that don’t even seem gourmand, this is your perfume.
The most synthetic I’ve ever tried. I don’t know how I could have spent money on this. You just train your nose and end up not tolerating this type of perfume. The notes simply don’t blend well.
Smells nice and sweet, but it doesn’t last on my skin at all; by the hour it’s gone.
It’s super feminine and soft, incredibly wearable, sweet without being cloying or giving me headaches. I was already a fan of Viva La Juicy, and this confirms it – I love it!
🙁 I’d seen many good reviews but for me it was a disappointment; I don’t know if it’s the reformulation; perhaps originally it was indeed the ‘sweet creamy gourmand’ that so many praise. Anyway, another one. Sweet x… at first you can smell the alcohol a lot, then the sweet scent starts to be felt but it’s very faint, it projects nothing and lasts nothing on my skin. It’s pretty, but that’s it… perhaps in my teenage years I would have enjoyed it hehe
I’m going to start by saying that, like other JC perfumes, this has low longevity and sillage. I have three of them and they all have the same performance. Perhaps the Sucre might be saved because being sweeter and creamier it feels a bit heavier, but still they are light fragrances. It’s the only flanker of VLJ I have and I think the only one I need. It was the bottle that caught me at first and the notes made me put it on my list. It’s very similar to the original VLJ, yes, but this surpasses it by leaps and bounds in terms of gourmandness as it’s quite creamy and soft. If you think that because of the bottle with cupcake decorations it smells like that, you’d be right. The tangerine aroma doesn’t predominate like in the original, but rather the scent of a sweet vanilla pancake with orange. It’s even a bit warm, but I think it’s more suitable for warm or fresh climates. What I’m not a fan of is the price, as it cost me almost $1000 MXN more than the original VLJ (which came in a set), but I think for a one-off purchase it has been worth it. I’ll use it continuously.
It smells of whipped cream and almond cream. It’s super creamy, a bit powdery, and very sweet, like an almond meringue on a sponge cake. If you’re a lover of sweet perfumes, you’ll like it. The disappointing part is its performance: it doesn’t last more than a maximum of 5 to 6 hours on clothes. I see that Fragrantica lists Viva La Juicy Gold Couture as similar, and if so at 65-70%, I can tell they are distinct. If you’re having trouble getting the Sucre, I recommend looking for the Gold Couture which is still available and not discontinued. It’s versatile, perfect for a teenager because the bottle and the scent are typical of a young, innocent girl who loves smelling like a dessert.
At first it smells strongly of alcohol, but after a while I can only perceive something citrusy, sweet peach, and perhaps a bit of whipped cream. The sillage is low and the longevity is maybe around 4 hours. I added it to my collection because I liked the bottle; I’ll let it macerate a bit to see if its performance improves; for now, it reminds me of some body mists I’ve bought at B&BW.
In the end, I bought it mainly for the bottle which drives me mad. The scent isn’t bad, it’s a bit synthetic, but I’d describe it as a sweet almond cream with a very slight touch of tangerine that doesn’t project much but stays on the skin very nicely.
I swore for all this time it had a caramel note because it smells exactly like that. Looking at the notes, I suppose what stands out most to my perception is the almond and tangerine. It’s a delicious fragrance that flatters, and although its longevity isn’t the best, I loved it and without a doubt I would buy it again.
It reminds me a lot of Ariana Grande’s Sweet Like Candy. It’s sweet but not cloying, although it doesn’t have much sillage, it’s for personal enjoyment. I can distinctly detect whipped cream, vanilla, almond cream, and a ripe, sweet peach. When I smelled the cap, I thought it was the Viva La Juicy, but it’s sweeter. If I’d known it smelled 80% the same, I wouldn’t have bought it; it doesn’t disgust me, but I don’t like having duplicate scents.
Viva La Juicy Sucré is like the original, but overflowing with sugar. It’s super sweet, though it doesn’t become cloying because it’s well-balanced with fruity notes. It reminds me of a soft cake covered in icing sugar. It smells wonderful and the bottle is incredibly beautiful; I’m in love with Juicy Couture bottles. They are utterly kitsch, kitsch to the core, and I personally adore them.
Addictive! I bought it blind and I’m very happy I did. It makes you want to smell it all day long, it’s a pity that on my skin it lasts between 4 and 5 hours. Anyway, I’ll buy it again without a doubt.
It was one of the first in my collection, literally the second. I have such an attachment to it because I bought it blind, guided by the notes and, to be honest, by the bottle 😅. I’ll never forget the excitement of opening a blind-bought fragrance that turned out to be SO DELICIOUS, so gourmand, that it delivers and then some. If you like sweet scents, buy it because it’s not expensive either 🫶
