The base smells like ‘Viva la Juicy’, but at first I thought it was coconut, a note it doesn’t have. The truth is I liked the scent, but it doesn’t last at all and has almost no trail. It’s not worth spending so much if the longevity and projection are so short.
It smells like Viva La Juicy in the dry down, but at first I thought it had coconut, a note it doesn’t actually contain. The truth is, I liked the scent, but it doesn’t last at all and has almost no sillage. It’s not worth spending that money if the longevity and projection are so short.
It’s pleasant and smells rich and cheerful. It follows the brand’s pattern: simple, easy-to-please scents, but nothing special. Plus, I always feel the price doesn’t match the quality of the perfume, but rather the beauty of the bottle, which is important but not the most important thing.
It’s pleasant and smells rich, cheerful… It follows the brand’s pattern of creating simple, easy-to-please scents, but nothing special. Moreover, with this brand, I always feel the price reflects how pretty or eye-catching the bottle is rather than the quality of the perfume itself. That’s important, but not the most important thing.
I love all the Juicy scents; they’re fresh and fun. This one is creamy and feminine. It opens with caramelised apple, pear, and sweet tangerine, without being cloying, like a cocktail with a touch of soft liqueur. Then comes the fresh heart with jasmine, gardenia, and neroli, a delight. The dry-down is cashmere wood, musk, vanilla, and marshmallow, a floral-fruit-gourmand exquisite. Almost new, from 2015, it brightens my day and is fun for any season or time of day. It lasts six hours on the skin with a moderate trail; it’s so rich I keep a small spray in my bag to reapply. Like its sister ‘Gold’, it’s a success for catching my husband’s attention. The bottle is gorgeous; the small ones have engraved stars and the large ones a gold mirror finish. It’s stayed in my collection.
I love all the Juicy perfumes, but these two are my favourites: Gold Couture and Hollywood Royal. The latter is creamy, feminine and beautiful. It opens with caramelised apple, pear and sweet orange – not cloying at all – like a cocktail with a touch of soft liquor, leading to a fresh heart of jasmine, gardenia and neroli. The dry down features cashmere wood, musk, vanilla and marshmallow, a floral-fruital gourmand exquisitez. Launched in 2015, it’s one of those mood-lifters, fun and casual for any season or time of day. The trail is moderate and lasts six hours on the skin; it’s so rich that I keep the mini spray in my bag for reapplication. Like its sister Gold, it’s a hit for catching my husband’s attention. The bottle is gorgeous: the small ones have stars etched into the glass, while the larger ones come in a golden mirror wrap. A true beauty that has found a permanent place in my collection.
As always, the bottle is divine and the scent is rich. Sweet and juicy at first, then in the dry-down the neroli and jasmine add elegance, and finally the sweetness of the marshmallows feels like a warm hug. Very pretty and standout; I liked it a lot.
It’s the same ‘Viva la Juicy’ but with a caramelised apple and a subtle marshmallow touch. It’s pretty, like the rest of the Juicy range, though I feel the brand focuses more on the pretty bottles than on creating distinct scents; they all smell similar. Longevity depends on everyone’s pH; in my case, it lasts up to six hours with a short trail.
I was hugely surprised. Although I’m not a fan of jasmine or white florals, the sweetness here makes it delicious and sophisticated. It’s delicate, harmonious, and I’ve fallen in love with it. I wear it every day, more and more. A total hit!
The neroli are the stars: that caramelised, candied neroli that recalls the house’s vintage scents. However, it doesn’t smell vintage; it feels very modern and mature for Juicy’s sweet style. It’s a blend of neroli and sugar, with a creamy marshmallow-like touch and musk. It’s not gourmand, but perfect for going out at night or to a party.
I grabbed it without a second look and I’m hooked. It smells sweet and soft, with that classic Juicy touch, though the jasmine doesn’t dominate as much as in the originals. Well worth it.
