Descripción
Wings by Giorgio Beverly Hills is a fruity floral fragrance for women. Launched in 1992, the nose behind this composition is Jean-Claude Delville. The top notes unfold with lily, gardenia, calendula, osmanthus, rose, and passion flower; the heart reveals lilac, jasmine, cyclamen, heliotrope, and orchid; while the base notes settle on musk, amber, sandalwood, and cedar.

Horrible. It smells like cemetery flowers; it’s a very heavy scent.
I love flowers; they’re all beautiful. Today, I feel like a flower. Wings isn’t a scent for every skin, but this perfume connects with me!
I absolutely love its scent; it has a strong trail and is impossible to ignore. I’d recommend it more for cold weather; my husband has complimented it many times.
I gave this to my mother a while ago, but I still have no idea how it smells 🙁 If anyone owns it and likes it, could you tell me what it’s like? 😀
When I need to get drunk on an intense 90s floral, I choose this wonder. I used it in the early 2000s in its reformulation and liked it; I saw it as ostentatious and opulent. But it wasn’t until I tried the vintage that I saw what seemed synthetic took another path: more natural, enriched, multifaceted and better orchestrated. I fell in love. Wings opens with a sweet note, like well-cared-for aged wine. Narcotic, tenacious, intoxicating. The sweetness of osmanthus and heliotrope is perfectly noticeable, along with the bouquet of white flowers with gardenia, lilacs and lily. There’s calendula in the background that disrupts the monotony, light touches of sandalwood. Amber and musk abound, giving it that ‘Diva’ touch. It’s powdery, distinguished, striking. It has unbeatable longevity and sillage. There may be a connection with Eternity, Sun Moon Stars and Aqua di Gio, also with Cabotine by Jean-Claude Delville. I love it. Keep in mind that only 1 or 2 drops are enough. This perfume certainly delivers.
I bought this perfume going along with the website info and I was right. I bought it to gift to my aunt and it was a super discovery. Personally, I wouldn’t wear it because they are scents that make me think of older ladies, like aunts or grandmothers. It’s quite strong and long-lasting, floral in its entirety, with quite a character. Thanks Fragantica and to everyone who contributes info. I hope to contribute my mite.
The one who classified it as a fruity floral did a good job, because for me it has no fruit at all. It’s floral, very floral. It explodes with that juicy zest of calendula and lily, and more flowers. Rose is just another one in the garden. Osmanthus perhaps gives a mini abstract fruity note, but fleeting. Usually, jasmine, heliotrope, gardenia, orange blossom, sweet pea, hyacinth, daffodils and clovers parade. To finish off, lovely dry and aromatic woods. I like the wood accord. Wings smells like spring and fresh air; it takes me back to another era. It’s a bit outdated, strange for me to say, but with Wings, this weighs on me. Perhaps it’s the reformulation and it no longer has the initial quality. Even though I find it pretty and exuberant, it also feels synthetic, with that detergent note I notice in some florals. Others might find it clean or soapy, but I call it detergent. It’s curious; despite my initial dislike, I tolerate it more each day if it doesn’t dominate. In sum, I like it as a relaxing and floral scent for home or sleeping. The problem is my partner doesn’t like it and it’s not for going out, so it stays in the drawer. Powerful trail, 2 metres is fine; longevity between 4 and 6 hours, more close to the skin. It’s sold very cheaply online.
The person who classified it as fruity floral really missed the mark, because for me, it has not a single fruit. It’s a very floral scent. It explodes with that juicy sting of calendula and lily of the valley at the start and… more flowers. Rose is just another servant to the garden. Osmanthus perhaps gives a mini abstract fruity note, but fleeting. And more flowers: jasmine, faint heliotrope, gardenia… and others not listed like orange blossom, sweet pea, hyacinth, narcissus, and acid clovers. To finish off, lovely dry and aromatic woods. I like the wood accord. Wings smells like spring, fresh air; it takes me to another era. It’s a bit outdated, and it’s rare for me to say that, but with Wings, it weighs me down. Perhaps it’s the reformulation and it no longer has the initial quality. Even though I find it pretty and exuberant, I also find it synthetic, with that detergent touch I notice in some florals. It’s a scent others would call clean or soapy, but I call it detergent, because soap in my mind is something more creamy and ambered. It’s curious; despite having a grudge against the detergent roll, I tolerate it more each day if it doesn’t dominate the perfume. In summary, I like it as something relaxing and floral to wear around the house or for sleeping. The problem is that my partner doesn’t like it and it’s not for going out, so it stays in the drawer. Strong trail, about 2 metres comfortably; longevity between 4 and 6 hours, more hours close to the skin. It’s sold very cheaply online.
My great love and my first perfume. I agree with Marta7b: it’s floral, very floral. I’ve used it since my parents gave it to me in 1998 when I was 17; it brings me so many memories and has been with me for 22 years. Now, at 39, how does time pass in a breath? Simply praise for this 90s wonder, a jewel. It brings all the floral notes I love: the relaxing calendula, sweet rose, jasmine, gardenia, orchid, all wrapped in a subtle amber, sandalwood, and very balanced musk, timeless and harmonious. It was aromatherapy for my senses; I’d apply it and the day would brighten. In its time, longevity was excellent and the bottle lasted me 4 years with daily use; now its longevity is lesser, the normal thing for vintage perfumes, a pity. What memories! I describe it as a subtle, tender, relaxing, and calming breeze that sustains the soul. Its name is apt; it suits every era and occasion. My great love: ‘Wings’ by Giorgio Beverly Hills… ❤

Spectacular fragrance. It’s incredible that it doesn’t have more fame than others that don’t even reach its ankles. This is truly quality, longevity, trail, presence, and first-class ingredients at a laughable price. With Wings, the trail is guaranteed; it’s a wonderful narcotic floral, sweet just the right amount. With it, just two sprays are enough to leave a delicious, punchy floral trail that lasts for hours. GBH and Fred Hayman have great opulent, high-quality fragrances at a good price. Very few negative aspects, perhaps only that you shouldn’t overuse it, as with Amarige or Eternity. If you find a bottle and you like florals, don’t hesitate for a second; at this price, it can’t be wasted. Feeling that breeze of Wings, so narcotic, opulent, happy, and well-constructed, is part of the glorious perfumery past that is fundamental to know.

It’s one of my favourite and underrated fragrances; it has tremendous longevity and a super powerful trail, and a price of a pittance for the quality (at least in Chile). It’s a powdery, sweet, floral, and fruity scent, but at the same time elegant, intense, opulent… a true jewel. Love at first sniff, not suitable for sensitive noses as it has a lot of body.
It’s one of my favourites and underrated. It has tremendous longevity and a super powerful trail. The price is a gift for the quality (at least in Chile). Love at first sniff, not suitable for sensitive noses as it has a lot of body.
I didn’t know about it; I went along with the review and must admit I was wrong. I don’t like it at all. I thought of it because I love white flowers, but this seemed very cloying, honeyed, and caramelised. It’s perfect for those who love very sweet scents; I prefer drier or citrus florals. In short, if you like citrus and florals, this isn’t for you.
I had this in the 90s. I bought it because a university professor wore it and received countless compliments. I would buy it again just to remember those times.
From its triangular packaging, it promises exclusivity. It’s a sweet floral, barely powdery, a true 90s icon and very stylish. A blind buy 100% recommended; it reminds me a lot of Eternity. It has great longevity on the skin; a few sprays and you’re ready. The price is very reasonable. If you see it, don’t think twice, just buy it! I adore Giorgio Beverly Hills fragrances.
I bought this some time ago and the moment I applied it, I felt right at home. It’s floral with that distinct sweetness of nectar. It gives you the wings to escape the noise and take a pause from the hustle. It’s innocent, tender, and offends no one, though if you don’t like florals, it will be a resounding no. Imagine a bed of flowers with sunlight streaming through white curtains on a crisp summer day. I see this for intimate use; it projects well and has excellent longevity.
