It’s a Bleu de Chanel with a touch of Paco Rabanne’s Invictus. A very pleasant scent for summer day or night doesn’t matter. Price around $30.
It’s a fresh fruity modern and sweet scent suitable for summer with good performance and a truly tempting price. It’s in the Invictus line to put it simply but with differences. It’s an interesting option for informal events or meet-ups with friends; it will suffice without issues and the freshness is guaranteed.
Zeus has something that leaves you contemplative and stupefied. After spending my second summer with this fragrance I admit it has something that hooks me but also makes me sad. I don’t know if it’s its spicy touches or its warm dry-down but it’s so charming and homely that it makes me feel nostalgic. The opening is pure glory. Basically it’s a classic fresh and masculine scent of cold lavender very much in the line of Bleu de Chanel with a light chic and modern touch. It adds a menthol breeze that gives it that magical summery and extraordinarily balsamic twist. It’s like mixing a cough drop with a strawberry chew and a clump of herbs. The combination is very well executed. It’s fairly linear with moderate but notable projection and a longevity that is hard to find nowadays. It’s very versatile suitable for any age and attire but with an undeniable preference for warm temperatures. To this is added that it’s very easy to find and reasonably priced. For me it’s as good as Hawas by Rasasi. Or even better because where Hawas smashes Zeus caresses and is easier to wear. Endearing and honest.
I’m quite a follower of perfumes manufactured in the United Arab Emirates for several reasons: high performance projection and longevity above the Western average which satisfies me. I’m not much of a fan of soft perfumes that barely make a presence. Furthermore their prices are usually very economical with few exceptions. They work with aromatic accords that resonate with my tastes: oriental and woody. ZEUS fulfils some of these criteria but not all. It is a fragrance with very high performance; its presence is noticeable for hours with a high trail. The price is economical at least when buying online from Spain. However this time the aromatic accord fails me. ZEUS is neither oriental nor woody. I would categorise it in the Aquatic Musk Olfactive Family and this family is usually not to my liking. The musk is present all the time and too much. It should be restrained and high quality to avoid falling into cheap artificiality. In ZEUS the musk is very close to being artificial with that supermarket cologne note. The addition of green apple doesn’t help as it already has a musky touch that potentiates that grating tone. I don’t appreciate the lavender or lily of the valley but I perceive a strong mentholated and camphorated tone that interacts with the musk notes and could stem from a combination of balsamic cedar and fresh vetiver. The whole evokes nineties aquatic perfumes and doesn’t fit current fashion. As they say it has similarities with BLEU de Chanel (a fragrance that doesn’t catch my attention) although certainly ZEUS has much greater performance.
It’s an Invictus clone where there may be slight variations but basically that’s what it is in the line of current perfumes. Eau de Parfum pleasant long-lasting and cheap. Is it worth buying blind? Yes.
I picked it up for €16 because Kelsey Berwin has a reputation for good performance and it did not disappoint. It is Invictus, full stop, but with a slightly more mature touch and less aggression in the aquatic notes; those who know the subject will notice this. On my skin it has lasted 12 hours and is still there. Projection is its weak point, good for the first hour and a half, then it becomes discreet. Scent: 8.5, Projection: 7, Longevity: 8.5, Compliments: 8, Versatility: 8, Price: 9. Totally recommended, impeccable value for money.
I bought it because it’s cheap at £16 and Kelsey Berwin is spoken of highly especially regarding performance. Well to be clear this is Invictus nothing more or less. It has a slight touch that gives it more maturity and a less prominent aquatic effect than the original but these are nuances that only someone more experienced would notice. The performance is very good; on my skin it lasts 12 hours and is still present. Projection is where it falters most lasting between 1 and 2 hours well after which it becomes discreet. Scent: 8.5 Projection: 7 Longevity: 8.5 Compliments: 8 Versatility: 8 Price: 9. Recommended: Yes the quality-to-price ratio is a great buy.
Hello! This is a fragrance by the brand Kelsey Berwin one of the budget options I’m exploring and so far it hasn’t left a bad taste in my mouth. Zeus fits into the ‘blue fragrance’ category and is often compared to two giants of the genre: Bleu de Chanel and Invictus. At first it smells a bit like dishwasher detergent something repulsive but it lasts only seconds. It quickly transforms into a very pleasant fresh and modern masculine scent. It’s very linear; it smells of apple and lavender but a cold artificial lavender nothing like the classic soapy kind. There’s a strong menthol sensation and an ozonic touch from that cold lavender. It lasts about 7 hours with a good trail for the first hour then drops to a metre for another two hours. In short it’s very cheap (around £15) suitable for everyone and any occasion although it shines more in spring and summer. It might just be the ‘blue fragrance’ with the best quality-to-price ratio. Hello! Kelsey Berwin is a brilliant discovery in affordable fragrances, and Zeus does not disappoint. It joins the ‘blue fragrance’ clan, competing with the big hitters like Bleu de Chanel and Invictus. At first, it smells a bit like dishwasher liquid, but this passes quickly. Then it explodes into something fresh, modern and masculine. It is very linear: apple and a cold, artificial, mentholated lavender, nothing soapy. It lasts seven hours with a powerful trail for the first hour before settling closer to the skin, yet remains noticeable. At €15 it is a beast, ideal for any day, although it shines more in spring and summer. Perhaps it is the blue fragrance with the best value for money. The scent may appeal to everyone, but the performance is in a league of its own: it is not a bomb, but it projects much more and lasts longer than any other in this style. It smells delightful: fresh, fruity and modern, very youthful and versatile. It has similarities with Bleu de Chanel, but it is not a clone, nor is it Invictus, although it shares some notes. At this price and with this scent, you can buy it blind. At work, people have already asked me about it, which happens rarely with my fragrances. It is not my absolute favourite, but when it runs out, I will be back for it. At this price, it is an excellent fragrance with above-average performance. Worth it.
The scent may appeal to everyone equally but the performance is another story entirely. It’s not an atomic bomb yet it projects much more and lasts longer than any other aromatic fragrance of this style I own. To me it’s a delight: fresh fruity and modern. It has a youthful vibe and is super versatile. Yes it shares similarities with Bleu de Chanel but those are merely similarities; it’s not a clone. Nor is it Invictus although perhaps it has a hint of it. Given the price and the type of scent you could buy it blind. At work people have already asked about the fragrance so I know it’s a hit. I’ve owned many perfumes and few have been requested or praised but this is one of them. Although it’s not my absolute favourite when I run out I’ll repurchase because at this price you get a very good scent with above-average performance. Worth it.
