It arrived and I absolutely love it. Another blind buy of an ‘Arabian’ fragrance with flawless packaging. Lattafa never misses. The purple liquid and gorgeous bottle—crystal, rhinestones and metal—show real taste. The packaging is immaculate too: white base, metallic mauve illustrations and the composition listed in English (top, heart and base). They don’t mention tiare and I can’t smell it either. The opening is ultra-fresh with great sillage. The honeysuckle stands out, with a touch of amber and freesia. The raspberry is distant and the other notes don’t come through (it doesn’t smell musky, floral or rosy). It reminds me of Lancôme’s O almost; it could be a dupe. I don’t see it for evening wear, but it’s perfect for any day. I love it.
It arrived and I’ve loved it. Another blind buy of an ‘Arabian’ fragrance that never fails: Lattafa. The purple crystal with rhinestones and metal is gorgeous, showing real taste. The packaging is immaculate: white base with metallic mauve illustrations and the composition in English (top, middle and base). They don’t mention tiare and I can’t detect it either. The opening is ultra-fresh with great sillage; the honeysuckle stands out, along with some amber and freesia. The raspberry is distant and the other notes don’t come through (it doesn’t smell musky, floral or rosy). It reminds me of Lancôme’s O very much; it could be a dupe. I don’t see it for evening wear, but it’s perfect for any day. I love it.
I picked this up during my lilac-purple perfume phase (yes, I sometimes latch onto a scent or colour and buy several similar ones🤷🏼♀️). On first spray it’s quite alcoholic, but on the skin the honeysuckle stands out with a hint of freesia close to the skin; the rose is noticeable only from a distance. There’s no trace of raspberry, and as it dries down it leaves a musk and amber trail. It doesn’t last long, around two hours even with generous application. It has no sillage or trail; for me, it’s almost just a cologne, nothing remarkable. I bought it alongside Halloween, Eclat d’Arpege and G by Giorgio Beverly Hills; the latter is far more notable in terms of notes, evolution and longevity. Neither Halloween nor Eclat appealed to me due to that green note in the dry-down which gives them a cheap cologne vibe. This one doesn’t have that ‘problem’, but it doesn’t reflect its colour either; it smells more like any generic white floral cologne. I only detect a soapy honeysuckle. It’s not bad or expensive, but there are better options. It’s a risk-free cologne with little personality.
