I’ve just tried this fragrance and I’m in love. It’s sweet and masculine, with that mix of caramel, vanilla, leather, and tobacco, but not like Spicebomb or Tobacco Vanille, but in a completely different line. It’s medicinal, animalic, rare, with a fresh, mentholated, or eucalyptus-like twist, different from anything I’ve tried before. Yes, perfumes from this brand are expensive (€100 for 30ml), but it’s the first one I’ve tried that I genuinely like and for which I’d be willing to save to include in my collection. Scent: 9. Longevity: 8. Projection: 7. Value for money: 5. Versatility: 7. Overall: 8.

  • Like with Stilla from the same brand, in Sadel there are two very distinct phases: opening and dry-down. At first, it smells of leather and tobacco; the leather is raw with an animalic touch and the tobacco adds roughness and dryness. The sweet notes are noticeable but very in the background. Gradually the tobacco fades and the gourmand notes gain ground, blending with the leather. The leather loses its rawness as the vanilla and caramel take over. It enters a second phase where the leather and tobacco have faded into the background, leaving only the sweet notes. It smells of vanilla with a toasted and caramelised touch. At times it reminds me of Werther’s Toffe caramels, and that’s what lasts until the end. Performance is good for the first two hours and longevity is decent. I see it as unisex, although the opening is more masculine and suited to cold climates. Personally, it hasn’t won me over. It’s original but the scent doesn’t convince me; it has a strange, rough, and forced base at the start, and the type of leather doesn’t suit me. Perhaps it works better on another skin. I recommend trying it to lovers of leather or gourmand scents, but it may end up being half-hearted between the two. High price.

The scent is interesting due to its uncommon leather; it’s not the typical leather with tobacco, but has a strong sweetness that softens its darkness. The problem is that the projection is almost non-existent and the longevity is poor. To make it work, I think you really have to drench yourself, and honestly, the price isn’t worth that effort. I’m speechless seeing the 30% vote for ‘heavy trail’; the one I know smells like nothing in the first 5 minutes. On the skin, it lasts just 2 or 3 hours. I only vote ‘heavy trail’ for real bombs, which should last 10-12 hours or more and be smellable without sticking to your nose. This doesn’t even come close.
