  • I’ve just bought and tried it, and I admit I absolutely loved it. Based on the notes, I knew I’d like it, but it truly impressed me. It starts citrusy and spicy, but lavender dominates throughout all stages. Over time, cardamom and incense emerge, becoming green, warm, and refreshing all at once. After a few minutes, it reminds me of the opening of Givenchy Gentleman EDT Intense, surely due to those green and cardamom touches. However, in the end, they don’t match because the other one finds me cloying, whereas this one doesn’t. It even seems to have a clean iris. I give it 10/10: it performs wonderfully on my skin, projects well, leaves a good trail, and smells fantastic. The mandarin isn’t synthetic. One could say it’s an evolution of Gentleman EDT Intense; they share Nathalie Lorson, the scent is similar, but this one is less sweet and more sparkling.

  • I’ve just purchased it and was pleasantly surprised. Based on the notes, I knew I’d like it, but it has truly impressed me. It begins citrusy and spiced, with lavender predominating. Then comes the cardamom and incense, turning green, warm, and refreshing. It reminds me of the opening of Givenchy Gentleman Intense due to the green and cardamom touches, but they don’t match at the end; that one is cloying, whereas this isn’t, seeming to have a clean iris. I give it 10/10; it performs very well, projects nicely, and smells agreeable. The mandarin is not synthetic. It feels like an evolution of Gentleman EDT Intense, same perfumer, but less sweet and more sparkling.

Although I know little of the brand, this fragrance has pleasantly surprised me. I received a decant and found a citrusy aroma with a lovely trail; it lasts quite a while and is affordable. Recommended for anyone seeking something daily for spring (that isn’t CK One) and with a modest budget.

Although I’m not an expert on this brand, this fragrance caught me by surprise in the best way possible. I tried it as a decant and, without knowing what to expect, I found myself with a citrus-woody scent that leaves a lovely trail, lasts quite a while, and costs a fortune-free amount. Ideal for anyone looking for something daily for spring (that isn’t CK One) and on a tight budget.

  • It has a pleasant scent and the incense is noticeable, yet it doesn’t stand out in any way.

  • Tested this morning; for my novice nose, it’s akin to Monsieur le Cygne but softer.

  • This scent brought back good memories to me, and I didn’t know why. Until Kenzo Jungle came to mind. I’ve compared the notes and see they share citrus, cardamom, cedar… It’s a fresher version of Kenzo’s creation. I’ve just started wearing it and so far it performs very well; I smell it and it’s a ‘sparkling’ scent, fresh and yet slightly woody, smoky… I read lukewarm reviews, but it has fallen in love with me.

  • This perfume brings back good memories; I didn’t know why until I thought of Kenzo Jungle. Comparing the notes, they share citrus, cardamom, and cedar; it’s a fresher version of that creation. I’ve just started wearing it and it performs very well, smelling sparkling, fresh, and slightly woody and smoky. I’ve read lukewarm reviews, but it has won me over.

  • I bought it for myself and ended up giving it to my partner, because although I like it very much, I see it more suited for her. It smells rich and fresh at first, and then quickly the incense, cardamom, and above all the patchouli or a slightly sweet-floral note (to me, it reminds me of anise) or perhaps lavender, but nothing typical of a men’s perfume, or some undeclared note. Very good scent, but very different from the normal This Is Him, nothing alike, more luminous and distinct, without that dominance of incense/vanilla. It reminds me more of the flankers of This Is Her or This Is Us than those of This Is Him, although I could wear mine and hers. Quite good projection, releasing like mini burst bombs (vibes, hehe) for the first two hours and then more discreet; it will last about 6-7 hours quite well. I see it as unisex, although in my case, I’m not sure if because it leans slightly sweet I find it hard to wear myself, but I love when she wears it and how it smells on her. Very versatile and suitable for all weather, even with the cold it works well. Worth trying before buying, but if the scent suits you, the performance is very good.

  • I bought it for myself but ended up giving it to my partner, as while I like the scent, I see it more suited to her. It opens rich and fresh, then smells like a blend of incense, cardamom, and patchouli or perhaps something sweet like anise, or maybe non-typical lavender. Good aroma, very different from the regular This Is Him, more luminous. It reminds me more of the flankers in the women’s line. Quite good projection, throwing out bursts for the first two hours before becoming more discreet; lasts 6-7 hours. I see it as unisex, though the sweetness makes it hard for me to wear, but I love how it suits her. Versatile, it works in cold weather too. Worth trying before buying, but if it suits you, the performance is very good.

  • Chochomona

Synthetic and soulless. The perfumer must be so busy with the Opium flankers they’ve lost track of what they’re mixing. A waste of money and time, though I’m sure it sold well because it smells like a commercial trend. A horror, it gave me goosebumps.

  • Chochomona

Synthetic, without grace. The perfumer must be so busy making flankers for Opium that she doesn’t even know what she’s mixing anymore. Money and time wasted, although surely it has sold plenty because it smells like the commercial trends of recent years. A horror, raising the hair on my arms. And the bristled cat.

  • Mr. Baskerville

I disagree with the previous review. I tried it without expecting much and I liked it. It’s not a masterpiece, but if you’re looking for good taste, value, and versatility for everyday wear without being too party-focused, it’s an excellent purchase. It suits any age. Lorson got it right: it starts with lavender and mandarin, trading acidity for a creamy freshness from cardamomo without being greasy. It has wood notes, elegant yet casual. In cold weather it loses a bit, but if dosed well it lasts. I’m buying it; it excels in unexpected areas and offers a lot for its price.

  • Mr. Baskerville

I disagree with the previous review. I tested it without expecting much and liked it. It isn’t a masterpiece of the century, but if you seek good taste, value, and versatility for everyday wear without being too party-oriented, it’s an excellent purchase. It suits any age. Lorson was right: it starts with lavender and mandarin, trading acidity for a creamy freshness from cardamom, without being greasy. It has woody notes, elegant yet casual. In cold weather it loses a bit, but if dosed well, it holds up. I’m going to buy it; it excels in unsuspecting areas and offers a lot for its price.

  • Smells great, with lots of cedar and incense. The mandarin adds a citrusy touch to the lavender, but it means it doesn’t last long. On skin, it’s noticeable for two hours before settling close to the skin. In cold weather it fades quickly, though it might last longer in summer. At €55, I wouldn’t buy it again if I’m looking for more projection, but it smells nice, so give it a try.
