  • From Tom Ford, this is the first and only one I haven’t liked. It starts intense but becomes nothing suddenly. After a short while, it just smells of ylang-ylang, light but annoying, accompanied by a very spicy and woody aroma, like excessive sandalwood. I don’t see a good balance, little sillage, or longevity. I see it as somewhat similar to Lolita Lempicka’s Elle L’aime due to the ylang-ylang, but even that one I like more; it has a better composition. I perceive coconut, although the notes don’t say so. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I swear I smell it. I expected more, as Tom Ford always creates complex works of art. But Santal Blush simply doesn’t work for me, nothing like its siblings Tobacco Vanille or Neroli Portofino…

  • Of the Tom Ford fragrances, this is the first and only one I haven’t liked. It starts with an intense aroma, but becomes nothing abruptly. After a short while, it only smells of ylang-ylang, light but annoying, accompanied by a scent that is too spiced and very woody, like excessive sandalwood. I don’t see a good balance, it doesn’t have much sillage or longevity. I see it only a little bit similar to Lolita Lempicka’s Elle L’aime due to the ylang, but even that one seems better to me, with a better composition. Finally, I perceive coconut, although the notes don’t include it. I don’t know if it’s me, but I swear I smell it. I expected something more, as Tom Ford always creates complex and well-made works of art. But Santal Blush simply doesn’t work for me, nothing to do with its siblings Tobacco Vanille or Neroli Portofino… nothing.

  • Santal Blush is in the line of ‘incense sticks’ like Zadig&Voltaire, but I like this one more because it’s softer, less punchy. It leaves a warm and more woody scent over time. It’s less obvious than Zadig&V, I like it much more, even if it’s not my style. It’s very unisex, very masculine. I don’t want it for myself, but Tom Ford surprises me with its personality-driven scents. Come on, you smell it and it doesn’t smell like any other perfumery. They have presence. And that, in these times, is something to be grateful for. You have to try the perfumes from this house, because they aren’t for everyone. And they surprise.

This scent tells me nothing… it’s true that it’s original because it doesn’t resemble anything conventional, but really, it doesn’t seem good, bad or average… psss… a flavourless scent that stays in olfactory limbo. If you’re curious, I recommend buying Jeanne Arthes’ Sultane L’Eau Fatale first, it’s worth about 12 euros and is practically the same, plus it has good longevity. I have both, and upon checking they are the same, Tom Ford’s price seems like an abuse.

  • The woody notes caught my attention, so I had to try it, even though it was outside my usual budget. In the end, my wallet took care of itself. It’s captivating, evoking memories of my grandfather playing the bandoneón. It’s cool, unisex (leaning masculine, without any sweetness), meant for personal enjoyment. Smells like a wedding buffet in the Middle East due to the spices; it’s invasive for a sandalwood but elegant. Projects strongly with the spices, then settles into a soft sandalwood and pepper close to the skin. It’s brutally expensive, but I haven’t enjoyed another sandalwood for less. I love the opening and dry-down; I hate the price. Pleasant: 10/10 Interesting: 7/10 Versatile: 8/10 Original: 8/10

  • I love woody fragrances, so I had to try it even though it was far from my budget. Unfortunately for my wallet, I got it after trying it. I can’t describe how captivating it is, but its scent reminds me of my childhood at my grandfather’s house, listening to him play the bandoneon. It’s totally cold-weather, unisex (leaning masculine, nothing sweet) and for personal enjoyment. Yes, it smells a bit like a wedding buffet in the Middle East due to the spices, and yes, it’s invasive for a sandalwood, but it remains elegant. Yes, despite projecting little while the spices last, when it disappears you’re left with a faint scent of sandalwood and pepper close to the skin. Yes, it’s brutally expensive, but I haven’t found a sandalwood I enjoy as much for less. I love the opening, I love the dry-down, I hate the price. • I absolutely love it! It’s curious that Taylor Swift has such good taste with this. For me, it’s a delightful woody, spicy, and floral scent; the oud here is ‘friendly’, clean, and very woody, highlighting the sandalwood. I recommend testing before buying blindly, as it doesn’t suit everyone. A hidden gem in my opinion.

  • I love it! Something curious is that it’s one of Taylor Swift’s fragrances and the lady has good taste. For me, it’s a delightful woody, spiced and floral scent; the oud is quite ‘friendly’, clean and very woody, making the sandalwood stand out. I recommend trying before buying because many won’t like it. A hidden gem in my opinion.

  • I tried this fragrance: it opens with a strong spicy note, dry and peppery cinnamon, with no citrus or florals, then it fades away. The sandalwood presents itself as rustic, gets dirty with leather, and in its final dry-down smells like damp, greasy cardboard, like oil boxes in a supermarket depot. It’s super original, but you have to try it, let it evolve and smell it several times; it’s not a blind buy. Regards, German.

I love you, Taylor; I tried this solely for you, but no. It’s very spiced and woody; if you like it, give it a chance, but if you’re going for something vanilla and fruity, stay away. An invasive cinnamon with sandalwood and spices, adding oud, makes it formal and not very youthful. PS: Taylor Swift wore this perfume at the Grammys!

I love you Taylor, I tried this just for you, but no. It’s very spicy and woody; if you like it, give it a chance; if you’re looking for something vanilla and fruity, stay away. An invasive cinnamon with the sandalwood and spices, plus the oud, makes for a formal perfume that isn’t very youthful. PS: this perfume uses Taylor Swift in the Grammys!

  • Avalon1224

An uncommon perfume where the sandalwood is framed by florals, making it special and distinct from other sandalwood scents. I liked it…

  • PER FU MON is a sandalwood blended with spices and cumin, giving it an elegant, unisex, mysterious and very sensual vibe; that cumin adds a sweet tickle like bare, hot skin. I’d wear it on a woman with a plunging neckline in an evening dress, on a man in a tuxedo, or to seduce the girl you fancy. It’s an aroma that invites you to get closer and touch. A very, very beautiful fragrance.

  • Santal Blush was my favourite for a long time. It’s elegant, sophisticated, and full of personality. It’s not for everyone: it’s a spicy, intense, and particular sandalwood, one of those you either love or hate. It doesn’t seek to please everyone or go unnoticed. It’s clearly nocturnal and suited for cold weather, deep, enveloping, with incredible longevity. A perfume with character, presence, and a marked identity. ✨ Incredible perfume.
