I opted for this alternative to the discontinued Light Blue Forever (I never understood D&G’s decision). Luckily I still have a decant of the original. Comparison: La Uno has an extremely harsh and artificial opening, unlike Light Blue Forever which is pleasant from the start and feels natural. After 20 minutes, La Uno develops its characteristic grapefruit, a pleasant scent that resembles the original very closely, that’s when you say: ‘It’s an excellent dupe’. Longevity is very similar. In summary, if you liked Light Blue Forever, this is your safe bet, you just have to endure that ‘disgusting’ opening.
Very rich perfume with a characteristic aroma, fresh with predominant grapefruit. As the original is discontinued, I think it’s a must-buy if you like the DNA, plus it’s very accessible.
Very effervescent perfume at the opening, super citrusy and fresh. I’m impressed by the longevity: a potent opening for an hour and a half, then it drops but stays firm until the sixth hour. Afterwards it stays closer to the skin but still leaves auras. Super rich and incredibly cheap, I bought it for $17, excellent price.
I haven’t tried the original, so I’m speaking from my experience. The opening is confusing and synthetic, which is expected for the price, but after a few minutes it smells like grapefruit soda. Up close or on clothes it seems chemical, but the trail is a soft citrus with marked grapefruit. It projects at a short distance for about 2 hours, then brief bursts. At 20 degrees with office wind it lasts a bit longer. After 5 hours you only notice it if you press your nose against it. I wouldn’t buy it again, not because it’s bad, but because there are better options in this range. I got it for $16; for that price ‘Salvo EDP’ is better, or ‘Yeah! EDP’ at $20 is much more pleasant. I don’t think ‘La Uno Forever Blue’ is bad, but you have to try it first.
A rich perfume for hot days. I’m not lying, it lasts between 3 and 4 hours, but for the price (£14) you can’t ask for more. The grapefruit note is the star from start to finish; don’t look for natural ingredients, I don’t care. I loved it, 10/10 for work.
