Descripción
Affogato by Fragrance World is a 2024 creation belonging to the oriental vanilla olfactive family, designed for men and women. This new fragrance unfolds an olfactive pyramid where the top notes evoke ice cream, rum, and espresso coffee; the heart reveals a harmony of coffee, cinnamon, and Siam benzoin; while the base notes complete the composition with toffee, vanilla, and tonka bean.

Affogato smells like a soft, creamy, comforting coffee, wrapped in a whisper of vanilla that makes it irresistible. It’s neither invasive nor cloying; it’s like the embrace of a quiet afternoon at your favourite café. If you enjoy warm coffee perfumes with a vanilla touch, this is definitely for you.

Smells like cream and reminds me of a vanilla ice cream with an undeclared chocolate, I suppose toffee. It’s a gourmand scent that doesn’t overwhelm, very pleasant. At first, the opening recalls Kismet Magic with that hint of rum, but then it fades into coffee. Ideal for cold nights. Longevity is around six hours on clothes, staying soft until you wash it. Highly recommended.

Disclaimer: I’m going to be brutally honest. If you like it, great, but for me it’s been the disappointment of the year. I bought a decant because influencers claimed it was a coffee-based gourmand, and although I know they sometimes pay for reviews, I thought at least the description would be accurate. Nowhere near the truth. Only the first two minutes are decent, like hot chocolate with cinnamon. After that, it wilts and becomes a flat, sweet chocolatey aftertaste with no charm. There’s no trace of rum, coffee or vanilla ice cream. At best, you might imagine the sweetness is toffee, but it smells like nothing of the sort. What angers me most is the lack of honesty. The listed notes are pure marketing to sell. If they sell me a caramel perfume, let it smell like caramel. Here it’s a disgrace: no chocolate, no affogato, no rum. If it were called ‘Powdered Chocolate’ it would be at least honest. As a coffee scent, it’s terrible; as chocolate, it smells like a pot of Colacao. It’s a marketing farce.

Pure childhood scent. An aroma that captivates you as soon as you smell it, with all its notes perfectly balanced to enjoy on skin and trail. It’s the perfect gourmand for autumn and winter; the cold makes it truly shine. I detect a nutty note not listed that I love, bringing back memories of freshly baked cakes from my hometown. Warm, comforting and delicious.
