Exquisite, I love it, unique, delicious, and very long-lasting on my skin. It’s an aromatic world; I highly recommend it.
I just remembered I had this one this week. Someone gifted me a small bottle and then my mother bought me a larger one. Honestly, I adored it; I have very lovely memories associated with it.
I absolutely love this fragrance; I had it years ago as a gift and it impacted me so much that I always seek it out when I run out; now I simply don’t like other scents on my skin.
A very rich fragrance, strong opening but becomes super fine and elegant as it dries. Lasts a long time and I received many compliments. I must clarify I used the EDT and it was quite potent. I recommend it 100%.
Love Story… What a beautiful name and the bottle is a delight, reminiscent of the Belle Époque. It’s a romantic floral expressing passion and tenderness. It opens with sweet, prominent tangerine, with touches of very soft bergamot and basil. It settles on the skin automatically: ylang-ylang, jasmine, and orange blossom, adding honey that blends brilliantly with the juicy tangerine and the flowers. A prolix and exuberant moss note (earthy tone) and soft patchouli in the base accompany the floral without hiding it, giving it character and depth so it doesn’t remain just a simple floral. It becomes woody as it dries. If you like Patou’s 1000 or Guerlain’s Jardin de la Bagatelle, you’ll probably enjoy it; they aren’t identical but give that impression of a sweet floral between chypre and soft woody. Moderate trail, excellent longevity.
Love Story 1984, what a romantic name and a gorgeous bottle. It’s a classic 80s floral chypre that reminds me strongly of Diorissimo. Patchouli runs through the entire composition with mastery; if I had to add something, I’d ask: why don’t they include the leather note so typical of these perfumes? Technically, for those who appreciate the chemistry (isobutyl quinolines), it’s super obvious, isn’t it? Those who know its effects will perceive it, just like a brushstroke of animalised notes from musks or flashes of castoreum at the dry down, that’s my take.
I can’t stand the oakmoss…
