The king of perfumes, I absolutely adore it! ❤️😍. It has everything: scent, longevity, sillage, price, and it clings beautifully to clothes and skin. Every time I wear it, I relive my best teenage years 🤗. It will always have a privileged spot in my collection of over 500 fragrances 👍👏

It is truly a gem, a jewel of classic vintage perfumery. When it first came into my hands, I didn’t know how to appreciate it; its scent so different from the fragrances I had smelled left me bewildered. It was a blind purchase, looking to surprise myself and broaden my olfactory palette. What a surprise! It was a great success, so much so that I would repeat it a thousand times. Obviously, I don’t recommend buying blind unless you enjoy the adrenaline of discovering a new scent. Don’t be focused solely on sweet or gourmand fragrances because Creation is the opposite pole. It is a perfume with character, that brings class and elegance, projects and marks presence, and adheres to your skin for long hours. With a sharp green opening where the carnation stands out (and it doesn’t smell like a cemetery), honeyed, earthy due to the patchouli load, mossy, and ambered. It has everything and so perfectly balanced. It smells fine and is pure love. It transports me back in time, conveys calm, and makes me feel unique; I know that when I wear it, no one will smell it from any corner; I will be the only one carrying it. And although it may not be to everyone’s liking, it will awaken curiosity and attract attention. I enjoy it much in cold seasons. A hidden gem of Ted Lapidus, of which little is spoken today and which is undervalued by the current trend of vanillas and gourmand notes. Although I also enjoy gourmand scents, this has stolen my heart. Moreover, due to its low cost, it is worth trying at least once in your life. Greetings from Chile.

A perfume that envelops you, smells vintage in the best sense, and is soapy on my skin, making me feel very wrapped and cared for. It’s one of those that hugs you in the cold with great presence without being overwhelming. It’s not expensive and you’ll always receive compliments, as it doesn’t smell like today; it seems everyone smells like dessert and vanilla, which is totally acceptable, I mean, the current trend. Kilometre-long sillage and about 7 hours of longevity on the skin. A magnificent perfume.

The top of the top, it’s my go-to perfume. I love this house’s scents; they are unique, have great sillage, cling to clothes and skin, last all day, and the price is good, what more could you ask for? With Creation, the scent is magical, mysterious, strong, with lots of personality, and unlike anything else.

Finally received this fragrance I was so expecting; I had read the notes and was sure I would love it. On my skin, the moss and clove notes predominate. What is certain is that it is very potent and has good fixative qualities.

Delightful, my absolute favourite classic. A fragrance with real character and class. Long-lasting, almost all day. Best applied half an hour beforehand as the trail is quite strong at first before softening, though it still lingers beautifully. Smells absolutely divine of moss and clove. I’m utterly fascinated by it. I wear it for special occasions. My husband loves it, but my nine-year-old son doesn’t; he says it smells burnt, haha.

The previous reviews are so accurate and beautiful that there is little more to say about this fragrance. Despite its reformulation, its heart remains the same. A bit less impactful and long-lasting than the original, but in essence, it is the same eighties perfume that brings so many childhood memories to me. I love it!

Bought it blind and it hasn’t let me down. It possesses the elegance of a classic chypre with its moss, powerful at first and present throughout; the earthy touch of patchouli and the floral blend of carnation and tuberose. I detect neroli almost at the start, but I can’t find the honey or cassis. It’s changeable, with the amber, iris root, and musk appearing and disappearing. The intensity and projection are good, and while I haven’t fully gauged the longevity yet, it’s currently lasting around six hours and promises more.

I found this gem in a supermarket perfumery… I saw it and thought it would be very risky given its notes, but compared to monsters like JOOP! and Eden, this isn’t something “that” risky. I bought it blind and the result was more than satisfactory… surprising and contradictory, so changeable that it leaves me bewildered. I say this as a positive aspect, as it’s how I become captivated. At first, it’s oakmoss… astringent, almost aldehydic and metallic… very cold and proper of a good chypre, strict and hard, boosted by cassis, very cold and bringing me a vague halo of “Cacharel Pour Homme”, probably due to that eighties aura, strong and icy… then, after five minutes, the notes appear one by one, unfolding like the spring sun, very timid at first and then blending, becoming softer and warmer. A thick note of honey and a very gentle tuberose, nothing carnal or insolent. Although it’s very eighties, its intensity is notable but not unbearable. The carnation stays with the white flowers and honey, surrounded by a moss that is always present, but in this floral phase, a bit more friendly, not so sharp. This is the phase I like most, its mid/floral, its intense carnation and honey reminding me of “KOUROS” by YSL; it has a certain aggressive but subtle touch… it’s like a much more diluted version of Kouros, more floral, with the intensity lowered and white flowers added. It’s cheerful, sunny, and bold. Its dry-down is pink and musk… a timid rose, dried petals, surrounded by a musk that, along with the warm amber, sandalwood, and patchouli, becomes slightly velvety but maintains an earthy aspect due to the moss. It reminds me a bit of “Anais Anais” by Cacharel. It needs to be studied… it has a very complex development and won’t be to everyone’s taste, especially those accustomed to current and generic scents… it’s changeable, surprising, its notes appear, disappear, and return modified… they play and deceive. I’ve already found similarities with other greats, but Creation is always original and lively… I see it on bright days and in winter to add floral cheer. It conveys an animated and happy style, brazen yet elegant like “Amarige” by Givenchy, noticeable but classy like the lost “Gió” by Armani. It provokes images and situations. Exceptional longevity (for me it’s 8+ hours) and excellent projection, without being annoying (only three sprays; if applied excessively, it can be a floral bomb, be careful!). Pleasant on the wearer. It maintains the entire vintage and “classic perfumery” style in a pleasant and sumptuous way… A MARVEL. Greetings from Chile!

A chypre is composed mainly of oakmoss, a highly allergenic and expensive substance that gives it a sap-like, wet wood, and deep forest aspect, lending the perfume a cold and slightly earthy facet. Chypres are condemned to disappear or to synthetic reformulations that destroy the delicate olfactory structure. Creation 2011 is a reinterpretation of the classic Ted Lapidus from 1984, a clear bet to revive the classics of traditional perfumery. As a good representative of the eighties, it is characterised by a complex and baroque scent, loaded with opulent elements… with superb sillage and infinite longevity; however, at the level of current perfumery, this reinterpretation smells more bearable, cleaner, and less potent. I don’t remember having heard of the classic, but I imagine its “resurrectionist” element typical of that era. Despite this, it remains very strong and requires a nose accustomed to scents that escape what we now call “smelling good”. The opening is potent and green, slightly metallic (without aldehydes), but the union of cassis, neroli, and iris recalls, in part, perfumes of these characteristics. After 15 minutes, it mutates into a green floral with jasmine, neroli, and carnation… it doesn’t just recall the flowers, but also the stems and leaves; at this point, the green florals, on my skin, acquire a mentholated and synthetic touch that disorients me, similar to some toothpastes. Finally, after three hours, the honey appears, heavily scented with the penetrating smell of propolis and a touch of powdery pollen. The best: its initial face, where all its old potential lies. This phase lasts 30 minutes and then the intensity drops. Longevity 3 hours, but I will update as I use it. Absolutely unisex.
