Did they make a mistake and is this the new Zara Man? Haha, what a dreadful bottle. I think they got the brand wrong, as there’s no trace of Mugler or Thierry Mugler whatsoever.
I think Mugler hates men; their perfumes for women are brilliant, full of innovation and quality, while the men’s line feels like a mandatory chore.
Yes, I know it used to be better, but it’s time to surpass them or at least discuss current fragrances, not just the past. I hadn’t tried Alien before, so I can’t compare, but perhaps that’s for the best. The osmanthus surprised me in a good way; it projects freshness and cleanliness. I only notice the coffee in the base notes, adding body. It’s soft, suitable for close distances, quite original in its simplicity. It reminds me a lot of Ghost in the Shell by ELDO. I recommend trying it if you like clean scents, aren’t a fan of the old Mugler bombs, or never liked them because they were too strong. I wouldn’t be surprised if, once it’s discontinued and the price rises, those same whiners come here to praise it 🤣

Invictus with coffee.
For those in Spain: I haven’t tried it, but after reading Juanico, I couldn’t help but mention there’s a dupe at Mercadona that smells identical—coffee with Invictus. It’s called Extra Time, in a rectangular bottle with the text ‘I need a day between Saturday and Sunday’. It opens with very sweet milky coffee and slowly evolves into Invictus without losing the coffee, which lingers as a base note. It’s worth 5 euros.
If this were by Xerjoff or Amouage and cost 300 quid, the YouTube snobs would be drooling every five minutes. This Alien Man Fusion is a temporary flanker of the original, featuring a sweet coffee note that gives it a nocturnal, more mature vibe—think thirty-something or early forties golfers. It lasts longer on me and I prefer it to Halloween Man X. It’s a bit pricier, but it smells more unique. To avoid smelling like an ex, it’s spot on. It’s discontinued in 2024; if you like Mugler and coffee scents, don’t miss out. It wasn’t excessively expensive (over 50-60 euros for 100ml is steep, especially with the discontinued markup).
If Xerjoff, Creed, Marly, Kilian, or Amouage had made it and it cost 300 quid, the snobby idiots would be drooling on YouTube every five minutes. It’s discontinued in 2024; if you like Mugler and coffee-scented perfumes, you can’t miss this, plus it wasn’t that expensive (over 50-60 euros for 100ml is already steep, and they charge you extra for being discontinued).
