Created by the perfumer and launched in 2003, its composition unfolds a scent pyramid where the top notes reveal a fresh, vibrant green tea. Poorly classified as Floral: it contains no floral notes whatsoever; it’s an herbal aromatic cologne. I’ve rated it as a cologne because, to be honest, it doesn’t even reach Eau de Toilette strength due to its poor performance. It’s a green fragrance where the tea note is completely absent. What a habit of misleading with incorrect names! The scent is fairly linear, a blend of soft vetiver, bergamot, and very subdued lemon, with a poorly executed melon. The described flowers are imperceptible, and if anything, there’s a faint touch of lavender. The result is a fresh, hygienic cologne suitable for anyone, any season, or any age. No sillage and low longevity.
Bought it because I already own Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea, but this smells bitter and genuinely herbal, not fresh and clean at all. It lasts incredibly short, which is a real turn-off.
I bought it because I own Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea and it smells fresh and clean, but this one smells bitter, like real tea, 100% herbal, and I don’t like it at all. Besides, it fades very quickly; it lasts for very little time.
I agree with the previous reviewers: there’s no tea in it. It’s a citrus aromatic perfume and acidic due to the vetiver base. The iris gives it a dry, powdery but soft character. A rough, adult and acidic scent. Ideal for lovers of green perfumes and vintage touches. Perfect for daytime wear and in the heat, where it shines. It’s unisex, by the way. It smells synthetic and cloying. Not for me, but the price is excellent and you can’t ask for more.
To start, the notes on Fragantica are wrong. Smelling it, I don’t get green tea, yet the Alyssa Ashley website lists it as a base and I do perceive it. How can it not smell of tea? On my skin, it performs better than Elizabeth Arden’s: four hours on the skin and up to ten on clothes. Stop updating the notes: top of nutmeg, lemon, Sicilian bergamot, melon and lavender; heart of violet, freesia, jasmine and rose; base of iris and green tea. It’s unisex, though it dries down more feminine due to the iris, violet and jasmine. Although not declared, I detect a musky touch, surely from one of the flowers. I recommend trying it on skin: on me it lasts longer than in other reviews and smells great, nothing bitter.

Agree with almost everyone: no flowers, all herbal. It’s too acidic and dry for me. The iris and violet are barely noticeable, while lavender dominates. The price is a bargain, but I wouldn’t buy it again.
I agree with almost everyone: no floral notes, purely herbal. It feels too acidic and dry. The iris and violet are barely detectable, while lavender dominates. The price is spot on, but I wouldn’t buy it again.
