It was a hit at work; everyone asked for it and bought it happily. Others found it divine, but for me, the opposite happened. Always test before buying! I didn’t purchase it because I had the option to try it for an hour. On my skin, it was a very bad experience. Remember that between paper and skin, any resemblance is purely coincidental.

The trail lasts five minutes, maybe two or three in open spaces. In Argentina you buy it in a pharmacy and they give you an aspirin or the same perfume if there’s no change… It’s cheap because the money evaporates with the scent. I own the whole line from this Spanish bloke and he still hasn’t learned to use fixatives to make it last longer. Do you get it? No offence intended.

When I was in Spain I tried it and loved it the moment I smelled it back in 2006. I managed to make it last a year because I couldn’t find it in Chile; my brother brought it as a gift. It’s the most exquisite perfume I’ve ever tried, it lasts all day and seems to penetrate the skin. I searched everywhere in Chile and found nothing. Do you have it? How can I get it again? I’ve tried another green tea one but it’s not the same. Help, please. Thanks, I’m from Santiago.

It’s fresh, green, woody, and has a bitter touch that I love for hot days. I tested it against Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea and it’s very different; Arden’s is more citrusy, basically tea with lemon. Here I detect tea, bamboo, cardamom, and oakmoss. It smells herbal and damp, like a dense forest with water running. Then the cardamom adds a warm woody note. That’s why I wear it in spring, summer, and autumn. It’s original, unisex, and my favourite from this designer. The downside is the trail is very weak, skin-level. It’s made to be enjoyed by you or someone very close. Longevity is poor, like most Adolfo Domínguez scents, about three hours, but it’s a treat while it lasts.

I gave a case with cream to my mother. The few times she wore it, she’d tell me shortly after to wash the spots because it has an ingredient I find repulsive. I’ve seen it in other Yves Rocher products and dislike it greatly. I didn’t wait long before stealing the perfume and giving it to a relative I don’t see much.

I couldn’t remember the name but I did recall the ingredients. Then I looked it up… obviously, Adolfo Domínguez! Someone who knows how to interpret the women of north-east and east Spain. I met these fragrances when I was in the peninsula; young ladies on bicycles wore them. Tea, bamboo, yerba mate… A worthy perfume! It occurs to me it evokes La Maga from Cortázar.

It’s fresh and revitalising like other green teas, but unlike them, it doesn’t give that sense of cleanliness and transparency. The citrus freshness of yuzu, bitter and sweet, mixed with oakmoss and dry notes of bamboo and guaiac, makes it acidic, penetrating, and earthy, though herbal. It smells of a damp forest, moss with that Japanese citrus that underlines the scent of earth and wet plants, making us feel more in nature than other green tea fragrances (Bvlgari, Roger & Gallet, Elizabeth Arden, Yves Rocher). I don’t detect much floral, except a very faint bergamot. I suppose it’s perfect for unisex. It’s not one of the most special, but it’s very pleasant and stimulating when nature wakes up from winter and the heat begins.
