I’m no fragrance expert or connoisseur of scent notes, but Caramel Skin by Phlur is definitely not a blind buy. I now feel I’ve wasted my money; it’s far too heavy and smells of burnt caramel, nothing pleasant. It doesn’t evolve over time, remaining exactly the same from start to finish. Imagine someone making artisanal caramel on the stove and spilling it near the flame; that burnt caramel emits an almost toxic smell, and that’s exactly what this mist is like. It has excellent longevity and projection, which is a bad thing for me. I can’t use it to scent bed linen or the room, as I tried and the smell is utterly maddening.
