It smells delicious! Caramel, popcorn, a super tasty shortbread cookie. You really want to eat that fragrance. For me, it’s not cloying at all. I wish it smelled freshly applied for longer, but on the skin it lasts a maximum of two hours, whereas on clothes it lasts several days, albeit very faintly. 100% recommended.
The best Cheirosa from Sol de Janeiro and we can go to the pineapple for this opinion. No, I’m not exaggerating. It’s better than the 62. It is a fragrance exactly as it says. It is literally freshly baked cookies, toasted macadamia, chocolate, caramel; it’s an extremely edible fragrance. You put it on and I guarantee more than one person will ask ‘what is that delicious smell?’. Besides what’s described, it reminds me of the cinema, probably due to the caramel and vanilla notes. As a body splash, it lasts a long time. It has no synthetic smell, it smells sweet and toasted, for God’s sake buy it. If they discontinue it, it was a pleasure to know it because if the 71 goes, I go with it.
I bought it hoping for a caramelised vanilla, having read a review comparing it to Sticky Dates, but I didn’t even think twice before buying it blindly. No caramel, no nuts. The scent doesn’t change or age, which is logical as it’s just a mist, not a perfume, whereas the Cheirosa 62 does evolve. I have been disappointed. It literally smells like Maria cookies. If you like that, go ahead, it’s your mist.
For me, this is currently the best body spray from the brand. Smells like vanilla cookies with white chocolate chips. Performance could be better, but it lasts a long time on clothes, which saves it somewhat.
This body spray, whether worn alone or layered with others, is brilliant and my favourite for scent and performance from the brand. It lasts up to four hours on my skin; I highly recommend it if you love sweet gourmands and want to feel like a little cake 🧁💕.
This perfume, well, body spray, makes no sense, but it’s delicious: white chocolate and toasted nut popcorn, pffff, it’s the peak of gourmand. Next to JPG’s Belle Parfum, now it’s the 62 that scares me most because this one raised my expectations incredibly high.
I went to try it with high expectations and didn’t like it at all. It is true that it smells like cookies, but I found it very synthetic; I expected something more subtle and less invasive. Very cloying.
It smells like the popcorn aisle at the cinema.
I am a freshly baked vanilla cookie with crunchy chocolate chips.
Smells like custard with three times the amount of Marie biscuits. So, good.
What a perfume disaster… it smells like you forgot the cookies in the oven and took them out burnt.
Curious scent, strong. Smells to me like sweet and salty dough at the same time; on exit, I perfectly sensed the popcorn.
Smells exactly like cookie yoghurt, haha.
Of course it smells like salted popcorn. Personally, I don’t like it at all. I’ve tried it several times and no.
Smells like a slightly burnt cookie straight from the oven. If you like gourmand scents, go for it. If not, better not.
What a delight this body splash is! Smells like burnt caramel but feels exquisite, like flan. It’s a very original scent; I don’t know anything else like it. It’s super sweet, gourmand and wearable all year round. As soon as I can grab it in a free shop, I’ll buy it, preferably in the large size.
Smells like sweet popcorn, flan caramel and Haagen-Dazs Salted Caramel. Ideal if you’re after smelling like a cookie straight from the oven. It’s an adolescent, playful scent, perfect for casual hangouts with friends or the boyfriend, not for special occasions. At first, the salty note and burnt caramel stand out, but over time the essence fades a bit. Watch your用量: maximum one spray or it’ll overwhelm and make people dizzy.
What a delight this body splash is! Smells like creamy coconut, white chocolate, caramelised macadamias, sweet popcorn and vanilla all rolled into one. It’s the best in the range. It just lacks longevity on the skin, considering it’s a splash and costs a fortune.
This scent transports me back to my holidays in Brazil: an afternoon in São Paulo with my architect cousin, hunting for popcorn in a 1940s neighbourhood. The vendor had sugar, butter and salt; we bought the cone and laughed like fools. When I found it in duty-free, the 71 spray smells identical to those popcorns! Since then, I always test it in-store. I know my affection is for that memory, but I love it: it’s playful, asexual and perfect for mild weather. I wouldn’t wear it seriously, but it steals a smile. Pleasant: 8/10 Interesting: 5/10 Versatile: 4/10 Original: 7/10
Ideal for mixing with vanilla, caramel or coconut; smells like freshly baked cookies in the middle of winter.
Very gourmand; I detect a lot of caramel, reminding me of caramel popcorn, which is what I notice most along with a touch of vanilla. I barely notice the macadamia and chocolate; I find it very childish, like for 10-year-old girls, although I like it. I expected to enjoy the chocolate more, but it stays very distant, and the same happened to those I let try it. Would I repurchase? Probably yes, but in a smaller size to enjoy it occasionally. Longevity isn’t great; trail is moderate when first applied, but after half an hour it’s quite low.
I love it; I feel it smells like caramel and vanilla flan. If you’re not into sweet and gourmand fragrances, it might cloy you, but honestly, it’s super wearable; I’ve never smelled anything so rich. It feels fluffy and warm; the coconut, macadamia, and white chocolate are literally felt; this whole sweet bomb is real.
A super gourmand that smells like freshly baked Christmas cookies. Simply delicious 🤤
Smells very much like toffees or popcorn, with the caramel really noticeable. I haven’t liked it much and it makes me hungry.
Oh my goodness, what a delicious thing. Smells like butter cookies with chocolate chips, like when you’re at the cinema and smell the sweet popcorn aisle. It’s a delightful caramel. As a mist, it lasts a long time for me; it’s exquisite.
A super realistic gourmand that whets the appetite. Smells like homemade vanilla cookies dipped in melted caramel with coarse sea salt sprinkled on top. I’d love to use it to scent the kitchen, but not for myself. It’s very salty, not for everyone’s taste.
Sol de Janeiro 71 – My Maria Cookie mist 🍪❤️. I don’t understand how people hate this wonder. Some smell burnt popcorn, custard, or toffee almonds, but to me it smells exactly like Maria cookies. It is exactly that: a warm, sweet, comforting mist like a freshly opened packet. It’s a cosy, delicious gourmand bomb that makes you want to eat it! I own almost all Sol de Janeiro mists and this is the one with the best longevity; it can accompany me all day. The best part: compliments rain down on me. I walk around smelling myself, so sweet and enveloping. The only downside is it’s not versatile for summer; you’d die! I only use it on cold or cloudy days; it’s become my go-to fragrance for those moments. I love it deeply. NOTE: 9/10
Beautiful. Smells like vanilla cookies with white chocolate. It works perfectly on my skin, though it can be overwhelming for some noses. It’s gourmand, sweet, full of vanilla and macadamia. Simply gorgeous, ideal for daytime and even more delicious on cold autumn or winter days. I deduct one point for longevity, but for reapplication or layering, it’s spectacular.
It lacks much complexity, but its caramel note is absolutely insane and lasts forever. I’ve heard many people say ‘I’m hungry, it smells like popcorn’, even though I applied it eight hours ago. If you want to stand out or do layering, it’s a must-have, plus it works beautifully on hair. Over time it doesn’t change, staying static and simple: a sweet burnt sugar that triggers hunger. People tell me I smell like toffee or vanilla. On hair, it lasts until the next day with the same intensity. I’m already on my second 90ml bottle.
I absolutely adore it! Smells like macadamia cookies similar to those at Subway, mixed with popcorn and lots of vanilla. The longevity and projection are excellent.
To be honest, I absolutely love this fragrance. It smells like freshly baked cookies and, unlike others, it doesn’t smell like popcorn to me. Despite being a mist, it lasts a long time, almost like a perfume, and especially on clothes, it lasts until washing. I recommend it if you like gourmand scents, sweet smells, and desserts.
It smells like crème catalana with a Maria cookie on top, all warm. I wanted something to wear with Super Milk (the conditioner), but I feel Cheirosa 71 would overpower the scent, plus it’s totally gourmand. If you want to smell like a little dessert, custard, and caramel, this is for you.
Very similar to Let the Good Times Roll from Lush, but here they’ve swapped the popcorn for macadamia nuts. In short, quite salty caramel; if you don’t like things too sweet, it might overwhelm you.
My favourite from Sol de Janeiro. It’s the most gourmand, smelling of caramel and white chocolate. Impressive. Lasts quite a while, especially on clothes. I’m waiting to get my hands on the cream, gel, oil, and everything!
I love it; it creates an addiction. I bought it blindly based on reviews, having a love for sweets. The first time, I didn’t like it; it was very strong and had a strange smell, but after five minutes, I was smitten. I got used to it and can’t go without applying it after my shower. It has poor longevity on skin, but lasts several days on clothes. I’ve already had to buy another one; I just can’t live without it 🙂
It’s very controversial for me. On the first day, I found it repulsive, like intolerable caramel popcorn, but I gave it a chance. Once applied, I felt a warm, embracing scent, like a soft blanket on the skin. Wonderful. It’s a unique, potent vanilla, and I loved it.
I got hooked on it. It smells literally like caramel cookies, just like the Lotus ones. I love it.
I love sweets, but this is a disappointment. It smells like salty milk and I didn’t like it at all.
It’s a marvel; smells like Maria cookies with milk, churros, custard, white chocolate cake, homemade cookies, vanilla flan, and Häagen-Dazs caramel ice cream. Every time I use it, I get a craving for sweets. I think it’s not good for my physical or mental health, but I recommend it.
It’s my top pick from Sol de Janeiro; smells like cookies, caramel, and white chocolate. Absolutely spectacular, very sweet, perfect for autumn and winter, and one of the longest-lasting scents from the brand.
