Upon spraying, it smells of a soft citrus like grapefruit mixed with birch and cardamom. As is often the case with Lacoste, the opening is curious and different, though the final effect is predictable. It then gently transitions to green notes (without florals) and dries down to a soft wood with that lingering grapefruit or yuzu touch. The trail is medium-low and lasts over six hours, but stays very close to the skin. I see it as ideal for spring and summer, especially during the day. It suffers from the same flaws as most Lacoste fragrances: poor longevity and projection for the price.
It’s a rare blend that combines casual, sporty, elegant, classic and irreverent elements. I’m not sure if they’ve already discontinued it, but it remains a brilliant choice for any day.
