  • I bought a 5ml sample for my wife and she didn’t like it, so I tried it myself. It opens with a super potent neroli, somewhat synthetic and like an air freshener, which doesn’t suit me at first, but it softens over time. Then the coconut milk appears, creating that milky white neroli that lingers until the end. Of everything I have tried from Rogue, this is the one I liked the least; it smells like a grandmother or an elderly lady. All their perfumes are classics with a twist, but this one lacks that touch. It’s not for me. Scent: 3, Longevity: 9, Sillage: 7, Value for Money: 7, Versatility: 7, Originality: 5, Overall: 3. I do not have it in my collection.

The neroli opens with great force, synthetic and like an air freshener; it doesn’t suit me at first, but it softens over time. Then the coconut milk comes out and leaves that milky white neroli that is noticeable until the end. The longevity is good and the sillage is moderate, but out of the entire Rogue brand, which usually features a classic twist, this smells like a grandmother or an elderly lady and is the one I liked the least. It’s not for me. Scent: 3, Longevity: 9, Sillage: 7, Value for Money: 7, Versatility: 7, Originality: 5, Overall: 3. I do not have it in my collection.

Manuel Cross has done a brilliant job with Rogue Perfumery. It is one of the best tuberoses I have tried. It has a small flaw in longevity, as it doesn’t last long on my skin and the projection is moderate, but that makes it ideal for everyday wear. It is like a light and daily version of Frederick Malle’s Carnal Flower, which is richer, more intense and concentrated, perfect for the evening. The opening of Champs Lunaires is citrusy and fresh, with a mentholated touch that cools the nose. Then comes the coconut milk, sweetening it and giving a milky and creamy air, almost like sun lotion at times. The dry down is musky. I see it as a modern perfume with a classic tuberose soul, ideal for the day, very elegant and urban. It only lasts 4-5 hours on my skin but… what 4-5 hours! Scent: 10, Longevity: 7, Sillage: 6, Value for Money: 5, Versatility: 8, Originality: 8, Overall: 9

The opening of Champs Lunaires is citrusy and fresh, with a mentholated touch that cools the nose. Then comes the coconut milk, sweetening it and giving a creamy, almost sun-lotion vibe. The dry down is musky. I see it as modern yet with a classic soul, elegant and urban. It only lasts 4-5 hours, but what 4-5 hours!
