  Cockatiel starts with fizzy raspberry, followed by the vegetal rhubarb, before the talcy, fruity-sweet, powdery mimosa takes over. In the dry down, I detect vanilla and dry sandalwood. It evokes a birdcage with dust between the bars and a smell of feathers. I didn’t like it, but I recognise it as an incredible work.

  A difficult perfume. The opening smells like sickly syrup, then leaves a scent of a dead bird on the skin. They’re not bad notes individually, but together they smell awful.

  Many people say it smells like a birdcage, but I, who actually has birds, don’t notice that. To me, it’s sweet from the raspberry with astringent notes, perhaps from the champagne. I thought about selling it because it’s too sweet and I’m not a fan of sweetness, but being told it’s rare and unique made me keep it. Besides, it’s the special edition and I’m still hunting for unique fragrances.

  I completely disagree with tartaletita. It might react that way on her skin, but it’s not the same.

  It’s not a perfume you’ll immediately fall for. At first, I hated it to death, but now I see that realistic raspberry with talc and a rhubarb that gives it character. It leaves me baffled; I don’t understand how it won awards when Powder & Dust did, or why SmurfyGurly has several bottles (she loves it). For me, it’s not the nymph; it’s a rare, c@jones-inducing raspberry. If you’re looking for something unique, here it is. I still don’t know if I’ll like it more; it confuses me but it’s intriguing.
