I’ve been searching for these fragrances without success – does anyone know where to buy them?
La Peony is an exotic peony wrapped in an oriental blend of resins, musk and patchouli, simply gorgeous. Upon opening, it smells of peony with a citrusy, spicy kick – fresh and lively – but within seconds it turns resinous and sweet, with a charming powdery nuance. The base is amber, fruity and balsamic, cosy and perfect for the flower. Then myrrh and benzoin take centre stage, creating a creamy, woody and slightly earthy foundation that cradles the final floral notes. I adore this floral, balsamic and vanilla scent; it’s hypnotic. It’s an oriental floral unisex: initially more feminine, but it soon balances to become almost genderless, ideal for everyone. It lasts around nine hours on skin, with strong projection at first and moderate afterwards. It suits cold or mild climates, perfect for evening wear or a winter morning. Normally it costs €90, but I grabbed it at a ridiculous price and have no regrets. If you find it cheap, don’t hesitate; it’s beautiful and high quality.
Sophisticated, exclusive, well-balanced and very long-lasting, a first-class creation. This designer has created some true gems in their collection. Predominantly nocturnal and unisex.

Normally, if I don’t like a perfume, I give it a moment to see if it changes. With this, I’ve endured waves and tides without wanting to wash my hands; it’s one of the most unbearable fragrances I’ve ever smelled. It seems like a mashup of Marc Jacobs Lola and Calvin Klein Euphoria: a morass of red, shrill notes, like a flock of crazy parakeets, where all you think of is grenadine, peonies, pepper, red fruit yogurts, cedar, Indian bazaars, and even Beatrix Kiddo buried alive. Very feminine, and only at the end does a balsamic, resinous note emerge, which I never liked because the fuchsia, ultra-sweet tone remains throughout. It reminds me of women’s perfumes from 2005 to 2010, before the froutchoulis era: acidic, tart, and very scandalous.

Normally, if I don’t like a perfume, I give it a moment to see if it turns around. With this one, I couldn’t get it off my skin. It’s one of the most unbearable fragrances I’ve ever smelled. It feels like a mix of Lola and Euphoria, a chaotic jumble of red and shouty notes, as if they’d added grenadine, peony, pepper, red fruit yoghurt, cedarwood, and even the memory of Beatrix Kiddo struggling to breathe. It’s very feminine, and by the end, that balsamic touch I was hoping for is barely noticeable; the fuchsia, ultra-sweet tone dominates everything. It reminds me of women’s perfumes from 2005 to 2010, before the fruity choulis era: acidic, sour, and outrageously loud.
Magnificent oriental floral with peony and touches of ripe fruits, plus soft benzoin and myrrh. Unisex that opens more feminine and powdery, then finishes more masculine and woody. Lasts six hours with good projection for the first three. Very good quality and highly recommended for lovers of oriental florals.
I bought it blind for a bargain price (15€) and the truth is… I have no regrets at all. I love it. That floral peony scent, which is my favourite flower, mixed with the sweet, shaved-note touch of dates. A different perfume, perfect for everyday wear.
Snagged this at a bargain price (€15) and bought it without hesitation; honestly, no regrets. I absolutely adore that peony floral, my favourite, blended with something sweet and shaved-dates-like. It’s a distinct scent, perfect for everyday wear.
Brutal and exclusive oriental. The peony opening is quite strong, but soon the red fruits and vanilla take over, settling into a sweet, unidentifiable woody base. Absolutely magnificent; for the 16 euros I paid, it outshines many famous and cheap perfumes. Unisex with a feminine lean, so don’t buy it blindly.
Excellent oriental and very exclusive. The opening is brutal; the peony hits you hard, but then the red fruits and vanilla conquer you, finishing on a sweet woody note I can’t quite identify. Absolutely magnificent; at €16 where I found it, it outshines many renowned and mass-market perfumes a thousand times over. It’s unisex with a feminine leaning, so don’t buy it blindly.
